CONTINUED FROM LAST EVENING....
And I finished last evening with these last two lines ,,,,"As we drove, I
remember Herring's Hill which wound to the left and up the the hill as Father
drove. Was the first house to the right there then? Again, I don't know."
Maybe a walking distance of 3 minutes and up and around the corner from
the first house was the second house to the right that my Grandfather built.
I was told by someone recently that my Father was named after him and that
was new to me because I was only told that he went by the nickname of Date.
If my Father was named after his Father and I was named after my Father,
then it looks like to me that instead of me being a junior, I should be
Randolph Forrest Caricofe II (the second). My brother, Roland, said that he
had located our Father's birth record and it read as the name, Forrest
Randoph Caricofe, so I don't know exactly what the truth is.
TO BE CONTINUED.

"The Rio Games will also be remembered for a debacle that was not of its
own making: the false claims by the American swimmer Ryan Lochte that
he and some of his teammates had been pulled over and robbed at
gunpoint by men describing themselves as police officers.
On Saturday, Lochte tried to put the controversy to rest by admitting that
he had exaggerated the details of the incident. “I let my team down,” he
told NBC News. “I learned my lesson.”
Still, the victory of Brazil’s national soccer team over Germany’s allowed
many in the country to pivot from the episode involving the swimmers.
Globo, Brazil’s dominant television network, luxuriated in the conquest
of the soccer gold medal, devoting the bulk of its nightly news program
to the triumph."

From Best Reads.
It did rain sometime during the night like the weather forecasted and I won't
have to water the flowers and plants this morning. It's nice to get a break
from doing that for a change. I still going to do some mulching in two of
the back flower beds and transplant some more flowers I been thinking about.
I been doing some landscaping I haven't told you about. I'm moving some
excess dirt from the back of the lot to a steep grade just beside and south of
the house. It's backbreaking work, but I enjoy it and going barefooted like
when I was a kid.
