"This article is about shared service telephone lines.

A party line (multiparty line, shared service line, party wire) is a local loop

telephone circuit that is shared by multiple telephone service

Party line systems were widely used to provide telephone service, starting

with the first commercial switchboards in 1878.[4] A majority of Bell System

subscribers in the mid-20th century in the United States and Canada were

serviced by party lines, which carried a billing discount over individual

service; during wartime shortages, these were often the only available

lines. British users similarly benefited from the party line discount. Farmers

in rural Australia used party lines, where a single line spanned miles from

the nearest town to one property and on to the next...."

Presidential Elections

"Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Hillary Clinton are in a statistical

tie in a four-way race for president, as Trump has picked up a few

percentage points, according to a Fox News poll released Wednesday.

The poll, which includes Libertarian Gary Johnson and Green Party candidate

Jill Stein, looks like this:

Clinton: 41 percent

Trump: 39 percent

Johnson: 9 percent

Stein: 4 percent

That puts Trump within the poll's 3-point margin of error.

It is the first time the Fox poll has included third-party candidates, and

shows Johnson and Stein pulling most support from Clinton. Respondents

were asked after they gave their choices in the four-way poll to choose

only between Trump and Clinton. In that race, Clinton leads Trump 48

percent-42 percent."

Sounds like a real horse race now  like a horse race between

triple crown winners Secretariat (with Ron Turcotte aboard - 1973)

and  American Pharoah (with Victor Espinoza aboard - 2015).

Hillary Clinton

"On her website, Clinton describes the "alternative right" movement —

alt-right for short — as one fostering "anti-Muslim, anti-immigrant, anti-

multiculturalism, and anti-women rhetoric… a white supremacist

movement, and one that Trump has not only refused to denounce —

it's one he actively courts."

"Extremist supporters of this hate movement have happily found a

candidate in Trump," her website declares.

Her campaign also released an ad last week featuring Ku Klux Klan leaders

praising Trump.

But Trump's campaign manager, Kellyanne Conway, has vehemently

denied Trump's support of the new movement, despite its link to Breitbart

News, run by Trump's campaign CEO Steve Bannon.

For his part, Trump, in an interview last week on CNN, dismissed the

"This is a term that was just given," Trump said, according to a clip of the

remarks posted by The Hill.

"There's no alt-right or alt-left. All that I'm embracing is common sense."

Donald Trump

"Only a few hours after meeting in Mexico City with Mexican President

Enrique Peña Nieto, Donald Trump announced an immigration plan

Wednesday in Arizona anchored by "a great wall along the Southern border"

— that Mexico will pay for — a zero-tolerance policy for criminal illegals

and no legalization or amnesty for as many as 11 million aliens in the

United States.

"Mexico will pay for the wall," Trump told a cheering crowd at the Phoenix

Convention Center. "Hundred percent. "They don't know it yet, but they're

going to pay for the wall," he said. "They're great people and great leaders,

but they're going to pay for the wall."

Trump also doubled down on many of his previous immigration policies,

vowing to create a "deportation task force" within U.S. Immigrations and

Custom Enforcement that would include a tripling of enforcement officers

and the hiring of 5,000 more border patrol agents. He said the new task

force would be "focused on identifying and quickly removing the

dangerous criminal illegal immigrants in America who have evaded justice,

just like Hillary Clinton has evaded justice. "Maybe, they'll be able to deport

her," Trump said....

When I was helping Mother, before we needed hospice to help take care of her,

I woke her each morning at 10:00 AM, helped her dress and all the while

preparing breakfast of one of the those variety of kiddy cereals that came in one
of those long boxes with maybe ten of those little boxes in one package. Mother

liked her coffee black and orange juice because she said her younger brother

(my Uncle Lester) drank orange juice and, I guess, because of that she assumed

that it was good for you. We shared a half banana each and I also prepared

her medications and put them in something like a champagne glass that I'd

bought for her at a discount store. My breakfast was a lot different and I don't

think you really want to know....

My bites (Chiggers) seem to be slowly getting better and there is still some

disagreement as to whether I have Chiggers or not. I'm going up to Rittman,

Ohio today to buy some Silver Spray, I think it's called, that I bought maybe

ten years ago. It is good for Shingles and other skin ailments. I hope the

woman herbalist is still in business.

Rittman has new and large military cemetery. A joke I've heard so many

times before is aimed at West Virginians and says "reading, writing and the

road to Rittman."
