"On September 11, 2001, 19 militants associated with the Islamic extremist
group al-Qaeda hijacked four airliners and carried out suicide attacks
against targets in the United States. Two of the planes were flown into the
towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, a third plane hit the
Pentagon just outside Washington, D.C., and the fourth plane crashed
in a field in Pennsylvania. Often referred to as 9/11, the attacks resulted
in extensive death and destruction, triggering major U.S. initiatives to
combat terrorism and defining the presidency of George W. Bush.
Over 3,000 people were killed during the attacks in New York City and
Washington, D.C., including more than 400 police officers and
firefighters."
In memory of this day referred to as 9-11, our America is doing memorable
events to remember that day.
Note: Sorry about the story (blog, post) I did not type last night. I should
have at least typed and posted a note to you all last night.
I'm going to type only one story a day for a while and that will be posted
in the morning. I have, what I believe, are 3 or 4 humorous videos
that I need to work on. I purchased Google's decoder for $69.00 a year,
a special, that will be $159.00 next year. I tried it yesterday and it
displayed that arrow going clockwise and saying the player was
loading. It seem to be stalled and after about 15 minutes, I went to
work on something else.
Thanks.

It's about 5:00 AM, and Bill is watching TV and I'm just half watching half
listening as usual and typing this story for today.
The Antiques Road Show is on and we see a very large and white rooster
with a red comb that's very heavy to lift because Ryan was given a rooster
just like when we lived in the trailer park several miles north of Orrville.
The antique's expert asked the usual questions of the owner about how the
rooster became a member of the family and others and after this usual
interview was completed, the expert said that that old rooster maybe just
twelve steps south and back of the house is worth five to seven thousand
dollars. Wow!
THE ROAD TO MY GRANDPARENTS CLINE....
I remember talking to my Uncle Paul (my Mother, like me, liked Uncle Paul
even when the rest of his blood-kin had given up on him (with the exception
maybe of Aunt May and Uncle Jack and my brother, Roland and I'm sorry if
I left someone out). He would come up to the door of the house and say
something mostly respectful like, "I'd like to speak to Edith."
He lived in back of one of these businesses in a storage unit when I talked
to him once, but Uncle lived in other places, not alone, but with his faithful
dog who always staid with him....

UFC 203 results: Stipe Miocic wins thrilling brawl over Alistair Overeem
By Dave Doyle @davedoylemma on Sep 11, 2016, 12:46a 82
Esther Lin, MMA Fighting
"The allure of heavyweight fighting is that the hardest hitters can deliver
ireworks at any moment.
And few heavyweight fights delivered whirlwind action like Stipe
Miocic's UFC heavyweight title defense against Alistair Overeem on
Saturday night in Cleveland.
Defending the title at Quicken Loans Arena in his hometown of
Cleveland, Miocic got out of several hairy situations before
delivering a memorable knockout of Overeem to retain his title.
The time of the finish in one of the most exciting one-round fights
you'll ever see was 4:27 of the opening round.

"I train that s**t every day," said Miocic (16-2), who has won seven of
his past eight fights. "I'm still the heavyweight champion of the world."
The raucous sellout crowd was behind the hometown boy from the
beginning, but Overeem drew first blood. He rocked Miocic with a
big right hand as Miocic pushed forward, then went for a guillotine
choke.
Miocic escaped, but after the fight, Overeem, a former Strikeforce
champion, claimed Miocic tapped.
"I believe when I punched him and he went down," Overeem (41-15, 1 NC)
said. "I got him in a guillotine choke, he tapped, the ref didn't see it.
In my opnion, he tapped. I think I'm the better fighter. He clearly
tapped."
Regardless, the fight continued and both competitors landed heavy
blows. The end came when Miocic got Overeem to the ground in a
scramble and began landing big ground-and-pound shots. By the
time the bout was waved off, Miocic was bouncing Overeem's head
off the mat with his punches.
"He kicked harder than I thought, he put me on his ass, didn't he?"
Miocic said after his 13th career finish. "He put me on my ass, he
kicks hard as f**k."
Overeem had a four-fight win streak snapped with the loss."
MOTHER and/or FATHER
I also worked with Father when he worked for VEPCO (Virginia Electric
and Power Company). He dug the three foot deep ditch and as wide as
the bucket on his backhoe that was required and then from a one large
and one small wooden rollers wound out the large electric and small
and black telephone lines from mostly new homes to the telephone pole
at the street or road.
I eventually learned myself with Father's help, of course, to run the
backhoe. I believe at some point in time Father's back became almost
too painful to operate the backhoe because of the jerking, bouncing
movement of the backhoe in its reaction to the bucket digging into
the hard red clay that is typical of that region of Virginia. Picture riding
a bull at a rodeo and maybe you can see what I mean....

IN THE FLOWER GARDEN WITH FORREST CARICOFE
Fall is coming, because the temperature's starting to drop and weather
forecasts a high of around 61 degrees today with a low one day next week
of 52 degrees. Most house plants planted or potted outside need to be
taken in to a warmer place before the temperature goes below 50 degrees.
But I know we'll get a second chance at summer when Indian Summer shows
its face....
