OUR HOUSE ON OTTOBINE ROAD....

CONTINUED FROM YESTERDAY....

I told you yesterday that I could not remember anything else about OUR HOUSE

ON OTTOBINE ROAD, but maybe after reaching far back into my mind, I can

recall a few more things you'd like to hear. And maybe it's just me wanting to

tell them.

Mother always liked farmland. After my Father passed to Heaven, Mother and I

did some traveling. We went to Omaha, Nebraska once or twice to see my son,

Michael, and my grandchildren and Mother's great-grandchildren, Kayla the

the oldest and Hunter.

We went to Lake Wales, Florida twice where my Aunt Ruth (Mother's youngest

sister next to her) and her husband, my Uncle E.C. Showalter, had a winter place.

We went once with me driving and once on a Greyhound bus.

We went on several tour bus trips. I remember one that Mother, Aunt Ruth, Uncle

Lester and his wife, Aunt Bea and I took to the Potomac River near Washington,

D.C. We ....

SPORTS

I told you I was going to Walmart today and other stores to buy some things I

need, not want. I believe it is the last day of the Black Friday weekend and I

told you I was going to call it Green Friday because that's the color of my cash.

But I am going to changed my mind and call it Green Sunday. I have that right,

you know.

I should not have told this under the heading, SPORTS, because I ain't going to

fight anyone for anything, but I had to put it somewhere. What do you think?

OK, don't answer.

They say that Black Friday is no longer a one day affair. Americans have already

spent about $27,000,000 between November 1 and November 23 which is a 4.3%

more over last year. Internet sales may reach $2,000,000, 16% more than last

year.

And something I didn't know, Black Friday (27,000,000 will be spent on this day

alone) it is not the biggest sales day of the year. It's only the 2nd biggest. The

biggest is Super Saturday, which is on the weekend before Christmas.

The total holiday sales will rise to 3.6% over last year with about $655,000,000

in sales and 137,000,000 Americans buying in stores and online.

And something else I didn't know. It's called the "Trump Bump" and in his

campaign promise to stimulate the economy and lower taxes has given the

American people more confidence in the nation's economy.

*I know, like me, there are a lot of football (American) fans out there. I'm watching,

listening now (3:19 PM 11/26/2016 EDT) to the Ohio State Buckeyes vs Michigan

Wolverines on TV.

The score is 17-14 Michigan. Ohio State is attempting a field goal to tie the score.

Missed (3:21 PM 11/26/2016 EDT). Five minutes, 40 seconds left to go in the 4th

quarter and counting.

Michigan has the best defense in the country.

The Ohio State quarterback throws a pass downfield. Flag. Pass interference.

The Buckeyes move the ball to near the 50. Injuriy. A ploy to disrupt the tempo

of the game?

Ohio State inside the Michigan 20 and now inside the 10. False start, Ohio State.

Ohio stopped twice on the 10. Fourth down. Field goal attempt to tie the score

at 17 all. Attempt is good. 17-17.

Overtime.

Note: Ohio State is ranked number 2 in the country and Michigan is ranked

number 3 in the college football rankings.

Coin toss in the middle of the field for chose of field direction and who gets the

football first.

In two plays, Ohio State scores. Touchdown! Extra point good. Oho State

24, Michigan 17.

And now Michigan gets their turn. Michigan moves inside the Ohio State 10.

Then the 5. Incomplete pass. Third and goal. Stopped again. Fourth and goal.

Pass. Touchdown. 24-23. Extra point attempt. Good. 24 to 24.

Double overtime.

Michigan's turn to get the the football first. They moved the football on first down,

but failed on 2nd and 3rd. 4th down. Field goal attempt good 27-24, Michigan.

Ohio State's turn. They move the football to 1/2 yard short of a 1st down.

Michigan time out.

Ohio State goes for it on 4th down. They move it to right on the first down line.

Will be reviewed by the officials. The official reviewing it on camera says

"after review the play stands as is."

On the next play Ohio State scores. Touchdown. Ohio State wins 30-27.(4:O1 PM

11/26/2016 EDT).

Four to five law enforcement officers escort both head coaches to near the center

of the field to meet for a minute to talk. Ohio State head coach is interviewed

by news reporter for about 1 minute with his escorts nearby, but not seen on

camera.

Head coach, players, alumni and fans sing the Ohio State school song.

I don't know if I have ever heard, listened to a more exciting football game.

I think I'll go and take my blood pressure and maybe take another Lisinopril 5mg

for my heart.

VENGEANCE

Me watching, listening to the TV (5:32 PM 11/26/2016 EDT). A commentator was

telling the facts of Fidel Castro' life as leader for 57 years of the Cuban people.

He was a ruthless tyrant and dictator who murder, imprisoned, tortured and

committed other atrocities against his own people that opposed him and his

communist philosophy. A cruel despot. Blood thirst dictator

Could he be compared to Lenin, Saddam Hussein, and Idi Amin? Yes.

He promoted international war.

He made himself larger than life to convince the world and himself that he was

a true leader of the people.

When are we going to stop being fooled by his kind of leader?

http://www.socialistalternative.org/lenin-

LENIN: THE ORIGINAL DICTATOR?

"In a moment of exaltation when US troops conquered Baghdad on April 10 last

year, the US Defense Secretary, Donald Rumsfeld, proclaimed that “Saddam

Hussein is now taking his rightful place alongside Hitler, Stalin, Lenin,

Ceausescu in the pantheon of failed, brutal dictators”. Eighty years after

the death of Lenin, the ruling classes globally still link him to the most

horrific dictators.""

Mr. Rumsfeld failed to mention another name. Fidel Castro. Maybe that's because

he wasn't dead yet, but a lot of Cubans thought he should be.

3.   Alabama Sen. Jeff Sessions for attorney general.

12. Mike Pompeo Statement on his Nomination to Lead the Central Intelligence

Agency.

http://pompeo.house.gov

"WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Mike Pompeo (R-KS), commented today on

his nomination by President-elect Trump to lead the Central Intelligence Agency.

Pompeo said, “I am honored and humbled to accept the President-elect’s

nomination to lead the Central Intelligence Agency.  This was a difficult

decision.

I have genuinely loved representing the people of Kansas in Congress—

working to make our community stronger and more prosperous.  But

ultimately the opportunity to lead the world’s finest intelligence warriors,

who labor tirelessly to keep this nation and Kansas safe, is a call to service

I cannot ignore.

I want to thank the people of the 4th District who entrusted me over the

past six years to be their voice in our nation’s capital.  I will continue to

represent you in this new post with the highest level of honesty, integrity,

and vision.”

transition team that he would a senior planning position.

16. The President-elect has picked Libertarian election lawyer Donald F.

McGahn as his White House counsel.

17. Trump has chosen for deputy national security adviser, Kathleen “KT”

McFarland.

MY OPINION

*Bottom line. Hillary Clinton lost the election because she was so sure of winning.

All polls pointed to her winning and some polls indicated the she would win by

a landslide. She relaxed her campaigning and she lost.

*Update: me watching, listening to the TV (5:17 PM 11/26/2016 EDT)

Hillary Clinton is now on board with Green Party candidate Jill Stein to challenge

the vote count in Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania.

I miss the flower beds and the yard. They're still out there but I have nothing

more to do. It's like an old friend that's died, but unlike a friend that's died, I

know that they will rise again in Spring and I will certainly welcome that.

My first walk out to the garage (1:22 AM 11/27/2016 EDT) for a pot of coffee.

Temperature is about 43°, humidity 77%, and the wind from the west makes

the wind chill about 40°.

I never mentioned the stars to you before, but I have not seen them in this

early morning darkness for about 5 days. I always enjoy using the Big Dipper

to orient myself and my surroundings to the north. Maybe tomorrow morning,

I hope.

My 2nd walk to the garage (3:27 AM 11/27/2016 EDT). Another pot of Folgers

coffee and my favorite, King Oscar double-layer sardines in extra virgin olive

oil. What a treat.

Out to the garage (5:00 AM 11/27/2016 EDT) for the 3rd time. I have some old

water hoses that I'm cut in into pieces small enough to fit in 33 gallon black

trash bags. Waste Management doesn't come until Monday, but I like to stay

ahead of the game. I'll buy much better water hoses for next year.
