*John Glenn, the first American astronaut to orbit the Earth, dies at 95
By Washington Post Staff December 8 at 3:28 PM
"One of the original “Magnificent Seven” astronauts in NASA’s Mercury
program, John Glenn captured the nation’s attention in 1962 when he first
circumnavigated the globe and returned as a hero who had scaled heights
no American had reached before.
In his post-NASA career, Glenn served four terms as a U.S. senator from Ohio.
Following his last term in 1998, at age 77, he took a final flight of glory,
rocketing back into space as a crew member aboard the space shuttle
Discovery."
His death was confirmed by Ohio Gov. John Kasich."

WORLD
Sucre is one of Venezuela's poorest states. Those inhabitants of the state no
longer support the socialist state that the late President Hugo Chavez envisioned
for his country.
The government has nationalized the largest fishing company, Pescalba.
Once the world's 4th largest tuna fleet that industry has collapsed along with
almost all industries across Venezuela. Pirates and gangs are stealing fishing
boats and killing their owners and dozens have been killed this year.
Venezuela Ranks World's Second or Fifth In Homicides depending on what source
you use. People can't make a living anymore and now are smuggling drugs, gas
pirating boats or days catches of fish.
Under socialist President Nicolas Maduro regime cattle are dying because of
no feed, metal is no longer mined and the world's largest oil reserves of
Venezuela are not producing oil causing citizens to wait in lines for gasoline.
A MURDEROUS WORLD
The Christian God in his Ten Commandments said that in the sixth Commandment
"Thou shalt not kill."
"You're 24 times more likely to be murdered in a Catholic country than a
non-religious country."
The America's are the most murderous and most Christian.

HEALTH
The U.S. Senate voted on Wednesday to:
1. To change the way the Food and Drug Administration approves new
prescription medications.
2. Allocate more money for Alzheimer and cancer research, fight the opiate
epidemic and open the way for more people to receive mental health treatment.
Called the 21st Century Cures Act, both the house and the senate voted by wide
margins in favor of its passage. Those opposed and who voted against the act said
that the drug companies would benefit most. Well-known senators, Bernie
Sanders and Elizabeth Warren were two of a short list of senate members who
voted against the act for that reason.

Out to the garage (2:24 AM 12/8/2016 EDT) for my first pot of coffee. Humidity is
69°, which is abnormally low, the temperature is 38° and the wind is blowing in
from the west for a guesstimated wind chill of 34°. Using the dew point calculator
at http://www.dpcalc.org/, I get a reading of 29%.
I had a (5:55 AM 12/8/2016 EDT) King Oscar sardine sandwich which you know is
my favorite. I'm still making my special breakfast sandwiches in the house
because of the increasingly cold weather.
Out to the garage (10:39 AM 12/8/2016 EDT) again for my 2nd pot of coffee.
Oh, no, it can't be! It's snowing. Snow is 1 of those 4 letter words I told you about
yesterday. The snow is the lake affect snow coming down from Lake Erie and I
wish it would turn around and go back to where it came from (Lake Erie). But I
ain't in charge of the weather so I'll have to put up with it for now.
The weather forecasters will have something to talk about now the temperature
being around 40° for about the last 7 days more or less. Snow was forecast for
today as I see from above and it's suppose to snow on the Sabbath. I would
think God would give us his day of rest from it snowing?
