STORIES OF MY LIFE AND TOLD IN ONE DAY....
We have a visitor to the house quite often. I've mentioned him before. His name
is Lonnie and use to live here for a time, sleeping in the hooch in the garage and
then in the house when it got too cold. I was in Las Vegas at this time and when I
returned, I slept in the hooch until Lonnie found a place of his own. I then moved
into the house where I sleep and now stand-up typing my story of the day. Just
like Bill, Lonnie has no family to speak of and has had more bad luck that some
people have had in a life time of living. He makes his living by purchasing almost
new tires from car dealers, who don't want worn tires on used cars they sell, and
then selling them to car repair shops who place them on cars they repair to
customers who don't care if they have less tread than new ones.
Well, yesterday Lonnie hitched-hiked to house and said the motor in his truck
had blown up. Seems like bad luck has followed him all his life.
He is a kind and gentle young man and I don't believe he deserves this. He also
has a girlfriend who has lung cancer and he also had cancer in the past. What
are we to do? Pray? That could be one thing we could do. But some only rely
on prayer and don't do anything else expecting God to do their wishes. These
people are no earthly good.
So I'll talk to Lonnie again if comes over today and between him and I will try to
come up with a plan of action like we did last night. Please wish him good luck
for a change.

WORLD
I received an email message from postcrossing.com after I had posted my
story of the day last evening and just before I posted that story at a little before
6:00 PM (Atlantic EDT time).
Hello Forrest!
This is a copy of the message you wrote when you registered postcard

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
Country in Europe
"Lithuania is a country and the southernmost of Europe’s Baltic states, a former
Soviet bloc nation bordering Poland, Latvia and Belarus. Its capital, Vilnius,
near the Belarus border, is known for its medieval Old Town. It also has Gothic,
Renaissance and baroque architecture, and 18th-century cathedral built on a
pagan temple site. Hilltop Gediminas' Tower, a symbol of the city and the
nation, offers sweeping views.
Capital: Vilnius
Population: 2.956 million (2013) World Bank
President: Dalia GrybauskaitÄ—
Currency: Euro
Official language: Lithuanian."
We had visitors to the house yesterday and one young man was of Lithuanian-
German decent. If he is any indication of the Lithuanian people, the people of
that country are kind, respectful, peaceful and friendly.
MY OPINION
I don't know why I'm typing this opinion under WORLD, but I just thought about it
and it needs to be said. May it's because racism occurs in every country in the
world.
The Oxford Dictionary definition of racism is "prejudice, discrimination, or
antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that
ones' own race is superior.
The belief that all members of each race possess characteristics, abilities, or
qualities specific to that race, especially so as to distinguish it as inferior or
superior to another race or races."
There are no inferior or superior races. God made everyone in his own image.
The only difference in people is their behavior and we cannot fault God for that.

*Company L'Oreal has developed a hairbrush that contains a microphone,
gyroscope and accelerometer among other sensors. It also vibrates if you brush
too hard. The brush sells for about $200. The microphone records the sound of
breaking hair and the other software (gyroscope and accelerometer among other
sensors) are used to build up a profile of the way the owner looks after their hair.
The brush then shares the data via wi-fi or Bluetooth to an app.
The software uses the information to assess hair quality and monitor the effects of
different routines - as well as recommending products.
MY OPINION
I take care of my own long hair. I don't need a so-called modern convenience to
mess with my hair. Before long, all you'll have to do is sit and have those tech
inventions groom you and wipe your butt, too.
HEALTHY HINTS
From the Farmer's Almanac.
Natural Antibiotics:
"Raw garlic - Assists in proper immune functions.
Onions - Inflammation-fighter that helps to reduce mucus and respiratory
infections.
Cranberry - Relieves bladder infections, has been found to reverse candida
over growth in the body and aids with inhibiting the growth of H. pylori, the
bacteria that causes stomach cancer and ulcers.
Pineapples - Used to relieve inflamation, ulcerative colitis and to improve the
health of your urinary tract."
The almanac goes on to say that a complete list can be found online at:

*Trump continues to not believe and dismisses Russian hacking claims.
*The President-elect may choose Jay Clayton to head Securities and Exchange
Commission. He has been a lawyer for banks and Wall Street.
*One of Trump's earliest actions after January 20 is to fill the Supreme Court
vacancy created by the death of Justice Antonin Scalia. But a white, male
conservative would not change the court since Scalia was the latter and it
would be harder for Trump's nomination to be confirmed. He still has yet, if
remember correctly, to nominate a Hispanic and this may be that opportunity
for Trump.
*The President-elect called the dictator of North Korea a "a bad dude", but said
he would be willing to talk with the dictator "over a burger" to persuade him to
quit his nuclear ambitions. China, North Korea's only ally, would also be an
important participant in such a meeting.
*Incoming senate minority leader, Chuck Schumer, said that Trump said that he
liked him better than Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell, but said that he is taking
that flatter from Trump "with a grain of salt."

My other way of checking the high and low temperatures of the day is from the

And I'm hungry again, so I'll have a Orleans sardine sandwich, so once again,
I'm failing to start the intermittent fasting I've been talking about.
No, I've changed my mind. I'm going to have an Alaskan wild caught, bone in
salmon sandwich and a spoonful of oil smoked mussels.
