333rd post

Note: Carolyn received 3 shots from Dr. Kwok's nurse yesterday and will soon

have little pain or none. I said 2-4 shots in yesterday's story and I was right in

the middle and right on the money.

Bill is home with no morphine and also needs to go to Dr. Kwok for shots.

Update: Bill has an appointment with Dr. Kwok tosday at 11:00 AM.

(1:46 PM 1/13/2017 EDT). I just got back from taking Bill to see Dr. Kwok. All of

the women in Dr. Kwok's office are patient friendly including 2 nurses (both

named Jessica) and the receptionist who calls herself Elizabeth III. And there's

another nurse who takes your blood if needed. Four women and one man (Dr.

Kwok) who surely is outnumbered. I assume that he's the one that hired them

so he's the one at fault.

STORIES OF MY LIFE AND TOLD IN ONE DAY....

"Everyday is "Earth Day" for a farmer."

I saw the above quote on a white painted barn as I drove to pick up Bill from the

hospital yesterday.

"Earth Day is an environmental movement celebrated on April 22 every year.

The relationship between "Earth Day" and the farmer is that the farmer must care

about the land.

Farming was invented around 12,000 years ago after they learned to store water.

I probably should have been a farmer. My grandparents Cline were farmers.

And maybe their parents were farmers and their parents were farmers, etc. You

see what I mean. I've learned of farming only because I was close to those who

were farmers, especially my grandparents Cline and their daughter, my Mother,

who related stories of farming to me when I helped with her life in Virginia.

My Uncle Lester, my Mother's baby brother, like me, told me that he should have

been a farmer. It might be too late for both of us now, but we can still enjoy

looking at the farms along the roads and pretending that we are that farmer.

Just as I pass the now plowed fields of the farmer, I dream that I own that land

and will plant soybean in this same field in the Spring after harvesting corn

this past Fall.

WORLD

*The Chinese people will celebrate their New Years starting today and ending

at the end of the day on February 21. This is the world's largest migration of

people with 3 billion trips to reunite with friends and families.

*One of the world's countries with a high murder rate has gone 1 day (on last

Wednesday) without a killing. El Salvador. The last time that happened was on

January 22, 2015.

*I received the following email just this morning:

Hello Forrest!

This is a copy of the message you wrote when you registered postcard

NL-3671483 from __________ , in Netherlands. Use it for archiving/tracking

purposes.

You wrote:

“Hi, __________

Thank you for the postcards of a red flower and a scene of winter. They are

beautiful postcards.

I will mention you (not your name) and your country in my story of today

(January 13} on my web site: iliveinmycarandeatverywell.com.

I will upload you postcards to Facebook, Tumbler and Twitter.

And a wonderful and Happy New Year to you.

Thanks again.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Country in Europe

"The Netherlands, a country in northwestern Europe, is known for a flat

landscape of canals, tulip fields, windmills and cycling routes. Amsterdam,

the capital, is home to the Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum and the house

where Jewish diarist Anne Frank hid during WWII. Canal side mansions and

a trove of works from artists including Rembrandt and Vermeer remain

from the city's 17th-century "Golden Age."

Capital: Amsterdam

HEALTH

I told you I ain't going to talk about my health anymore because that's what old

people do and I don't want you to think I'm old.

Well, guess what? I'm going to talk about my health again today not caring if you

believe I'm old or not. So there.

My advice in an earlier story was to think good, eat good and move good. I always

have a positive attitude, eat nutritious food and move or stand a lot just like I'm

doing now standing at this computer on top of my dresser typing out my story of

today. Isn't that healthy? I believe so. You might disagree If we were standing face-

to-face, but were not. I'm typing and your reading. You can't argue with me and

I'm certainly grateful for that. I like being alone and if you were here I wouldn't

be alone. That's one reason I like typing these stories. I'm isolated from the rest

of the world. And as they say "Live Free or Die," I'm free because I'm free mostly

from human contact on an extended basis.

*A parasite, known as the Japanese broad tapeworm has been found to exist in

in the wild caught pink salmon of the Alaskan Pacific waters. I eat canned wild

caught pink salmon of the Alaskan Pacific waters, but the salmon is cooked in the

can, so I believe I'll not be affected. It's only if you eat salmon that's not cooked

well done or eating raw sushi. They say that the tapeworm can grow up to 30 feet

in length. If you poop it out, you have to sit on the toilet seat for awhile.

*The President-elect Donald Trump says he has never used illegal drugs and

"No drugs, no alcohol, no cigarettes." He's the first to be President in 25 years to

make that claim.

SPORTS

*The playoff game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Pittsburgh Steelers's

game time in Kansas City has been changed from 1:05 PM to 8:05 PM. An ice

storm is predicted for the morning hours and the change was made in a concern

for public safety.

POLITICS

*The immigration policies for the rest of the world now applies to Cuba.

President Obama has changed the past policy of allowing Cubans without visas

to stay in this country to deportation of those without visas. This has changed a 22

year old policy that the Cuban government wanted changed.

*Former British spy, Christopher Steele, was hired by Jeb Bush to write a dossier

on Donald Trump.

*The President-elect has named Dina Habib Powell, a Goldman Sachs &

Company executive, as assistant to the president and senior counselor for

economic initiatives.

*President Barack Obama is setting up an informal cabinet to fight Trump's

attempts to reverse the policies of his legacy. Hillary Clinton will not be included

in Obama's informal cabinet.

*It was a quite a surprise to Vice President Joe Biden. President Obama awarded

him the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

*The White House says that President Obama will sign legislation allowing a

waiver for retired General James "Mad Dog" Mattis to become Secretary of

Defense if confirmed by Congress. The present legislation requires that Mattis

be retired for 7 years, but he has been retired for only two.

*Trump says that Hillary Clinton "is guilty as hell."

WEATHER

Today    PARTLY_CLOUDY               29° 21°

Sat         CLOUDY                                 33° 21°

Sun        PARTLY_CLOUDY               36° 26°

Mon       SCATTERED_SHOWERS   43° 36°

The Weather Channel - Weather Underground - AccuWeather

I failed to take the weather gauge back outside yesterday. I'll take it back outside

after I type the indoor weather (4:22 AM 1/13/2017 EDT). The temperature is 72°

and the humidity is 46%.

I checked the temperature only gauge while I was out and it read 29°. I saw that

one lone star again in the southeastern sky. I just looked on the computer and I

believe because of its location and time period in the sky that that "one lone star"

is the planet Jupiter.

The rest of the sky is cloudy. I feel no wind upon my shoulders so the wind chill

is the same as the temperature.

Back outside (5:56 AM 1/13/2017 EDT) to get the weather gauge. The

temperature is 31°, the humidity is 72% and the wind upon my back indicates a

wind speed of about 5 mph. I'm going to have an Orleans sardine sandwich

failing again to follow the 5 ways to the "Fountain of Youth" and intermittent

fasting. But I've come up with another plan to loose weight. Eat no sugar. I'll see

how that goes.
