I've told you in several stories of my life about hitch-hiking from my home in

Dayton, Virginia (around my age of 22) to Houston, Texas and about after 7

months of being there, I took a bus to Los Angeles, California. While I was

there I got a job with the Southern Pacific Railroad in a office.

The presidential election at that time (November, 1964) was between the

Democratic President Lyndon Baines Johnson and Republican Senator from

Arizona, Barry Morris Goldwater. I was one of the rare few in the state of

California to vote for Senator Goldwater.

He promised the American people that he would end the war in Vietnam by

nuking Hanoi. Seems like most chicken-livered Americans were afraid of that

and President Johnson won in a landslide. Johnson, 486 electoral votes,

Goldwater 52, from 4 or 5 states in the south. I'm from the south, I should have

moved there and persuaded those states to succeed from the Union.

Jane Fonda the actress and daughter of the actor, Henry Fonda, was in Hanoi

protesting the war and if Senator Goldwater would have won, we would have

nuked her too. But she is still alive, of course, and pretending that no more

young American lives were lost because of her presence. I believe after all

these years, I have still remembered her phone number. If you're reading this

Jane call home, 1-800-Hanoi.

Former Secretary of State under the Obama administration, John Kerry, protested

too after serving in Vietnam, but I'm OK with that because he served his country.

What do you think I'm getting at?

Since facing the Native American Indians in conflicts, to take their land away, it

is estimated that for 222 years of our history we have been involved in wars or

conflicts. That just leaves 18 years of peace.

*The celebration of Black History month started two days ago and runs from

February 1 to February 28, 2017.

There is a story of how the Preliminary Emancipation Proclamation, now in the

state library of New York, came into the library's possession and will be

displayed along with speakers and other events as part of the Empire State

Plaza's celebration of Black History Month starting next week....

*The United States is Mexico's 3rd largest trading partner with $531 billion in total

(two way) goods trade during 2015. Goods exports totaled $236 billion; goods

imports totaled $295 billion. The U.S. goods trade deficit with Mexico was $58

billion in 2015. Because of threats by President Trump to make Mexico pay for

the Border Wall and to send U.S. troops to the border, Mexico may attempt to

counter these threats by seeking more trade with Europe and China.

*The U.S. Ambassador to the UN (United Nations), Nikki Haley, is a tough cookie.

On her very first visit to the UN, Haley blamed Russia for its' escalation of fighting

in eastern Ukraine and said that any sanctions related to this area would not be

lifted until Russia returns Crimea to Kiev. "I consider it unfortunate on the occasion

of my first appearance here I must condemn the aggressive actions of Russia. It

shouldn't happen, or be that way. We do want to better our relations with Russia.

However, the dire situation in eastern Ukraine is one that demands clear and

strong condemnation of Russian actions."

*A man wielding a machete attacked 4 French soldiers in a shopping mall under

the Louvre Museum in Paris shouting "Allahu akbar" and then was shot dead by

one of the soldiers.

*I typed about the Mexican drug dealer, El Chapo, yesterday. He has appeared

in court in New York City and his lawyer/s ask the judge to lessen his restrictions.

I don't know yet the outcome of that question asked, but for now he is in solitary

confinement for 23 hours per day with 1 hour for exercise in the prison yard.

*I told you yesterday that I had an appointment to see my primary care doctor,

Dr. Kwok. Upon entering his office I always encounter Liz who I call Elizabeth III

because Elizabeth II is in England the last time I heard. She is a delight to each

patient and a Mother to two and husband waiting for her to return to their home.

Dr. Kwok on most occasions orders blood work for me and employs his blood

taking person. I don't know what there called. I don't know everything. Give me

a break....................., please.

I almost believe that you tell how close your are to a major illness or death by

the number of shots in the buttocks that he requests that one of two nurses (both

named Jessica) give to you. Well, nurse Jessica gave me only 2 shots, in the left

buttock if your facing my back and told me to put all my weight on my right leg

like a male dog wanting to pee. The average number of shots that the good

doctor orders is usually 3 to 5, so I'm not close to death after all.

And I almost forgot. Dr. Kwok talked me in to taking another prescription

medication. I always thought that if your cholesterol level was under 200 you'd be

good to go, but the good doctor says that your cholesterol is now based on risk.

He said that I could cut my risk in 1/2 from 28% to 14% for having a heart attack

or stroke by taking a cholesterol prescription  medication. So, I finally agreed.

Dr. Kwok would certainly make an excellent door-to-door salesman. I don't

know if Fuller Brush is still in business or not.

*8:56 AM 2/3/2017 EST. I'm making my first sandwich of the day and you know

what it is, don't you? I've probably told you over a hundred times before. Yes,

you're right. A sardine sandwich of the Orleans variety. I've also just made my

2nd pot of coffee and hopefully I'll be able to equal that with drinking enough

water. Speaking of coffee, you know how tight I am with money. Instead of

buying my favorite and expensive coffee that is Folgers at Walmart, I bought

Walmart's Great Value brand and it tastes nearer to cow piss than it does coffee,

but you know the saying that I adopted from my Father and Mother "waste not,

want not," so I'll just drink the rest of it, and buy Folgers the next time.

*Well, guess what? I typed yesterday, I believe, about vegetable oil being the

number killer and that sugar is now in 2nd place. I decided to have an oyster

sandwich and they're packed vegetable oil. Good grief! The ones I bought

before were packed in cottonseed oil. Maybe I should have washed them

poor little baby oysters off before I ate them. Next time I'll read the label better

before I buy them.

*I received a phone call yesterday from a nice young women representing the

fraud division at my PNC (Pittsburgh National Corporation) Bank. This was

concerning the over $800 amount that I was suppose to have been charged for

for an airplane ticket on Turkish Airlines. On its' website it promotes "no fake

but that has nothing to do with what I'm telling you. I owe it all to the wandering

mind of a septuagenarian. What the hell does that mean?

Let's get back to business. The nice young women, who lives in Michigan, said

that I would not be responsible for the over $800 charged to my credit card and

I could either keep my credit card for my records or cut it into smithereens.

She gave me the phone number of the fraud unit of the bank and at some point

I told her about a scammer that I came across while staying in Mother's Honda

in Las Vegas. But that's just another story of my life of intrigue and deception that

I will tell at a later date.

She told me that she enjoyed talking with me and I said "you tell everyone that to

keep them coming back to PNC Bank" and she said no that this was one of her

most interesting conversations.

I give you a hint as to this nice young woman's name. It starts with 1 of the 26

letters of the English alphabet and I'll let you figure out the last 4.

4:20 PM 2/3/2017 EST. Listening/watching TV to liberal leaning CNN.

Democratic Senator Mark Warner of Virginia (my state birth place) is

aggravated because President Trump has elevated Steve Bannon to a Security

Council position and according to reports that might make him the 2nd most

powerful man in the White House.

Warner would not have been elected if only were I grew up (Shenandoah Valley)

voted. He received a majority of his votes from cities surrounding Washington,

D. C. in Virginia who work for the government and need to kiss their Democratic

boss's ass to keep their jobs.

4:26 PM 2/3/2017 EST. I'm doing the same thing as above and newscasters say

Trump in his usual morning Tweet said in response to the Paris attack, "Get

smart U. S."

*4:36 PM 2/3/2017 EST. President Trump and his family on Air Force I has just

touched down at Palm Beach International Airport for their stay at, Mar-a-Lago,

in Florida for the weekend.

*5:02 PM 2/3/2017 EST. CNN again. President Trump has the least approval

approval rating in the history of modern polling. Approve, 44%.

Disapprove, 53%.

I believe now, that President Trump is leaning America toward nationalism,

isolationism and/or protectionism because of his promise to "Make America

Great Again" through his thoughts of America only and his recent confrontations

with other world leaders.

grey and some black clouds. I believe I could out walk the wind today because

it's blowing in from the west at about 3 mph or less. I took 2 outgoing letters to the
