State Trooper cited the other driver. There was some slickness on the road

because of the snow, but the simple reason is that they were following too close.

*Ides of March - Ides of March

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This article is about the day in the Roman calendar.

The Ides of March (Latin: Idus Martiae, Late Latin: Idus Martii) is a day on the

Roman calendar that corresponds to March 15. It was marked by several

religious observances and became notorious as the date of the assassination

of Julius Caesar in 44 BC. The death of Caesar made the Ides of March a turning

point in Roman history, as one of the events that marked the transition from

the historical period known as the Roman Republic to the Roman Empire.

Although March (Martius) was the third month of the Julian calendar, in the

oldest Roman calendar it was the first month of the year. The holidays observed

by the Romans from the first through the Ides often reflect their origin as new-

year celebrations.

The Difference Between Julian and Gregorian Calendars. The Gregorian

Calendar was first introduced by Pope Gregory XIII - which is how the

calendar got its name. This calendar has been implemented by several

countries because the Julian calendar assumes a full year is 365.25 days

whereas it is actually 11 minutes less.

The Gregorian calendar is internationally the most widely used civil calendar.

It is named after Pope Gregory XIII, who introduced it in October 1582.

Here are the hottest Galaxy S8 leaks making noise in the tech community right now:

Two sizes

According to a recent report from Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities — one of the

most reliable analysts in the tech world — there will be two sizes for the

Galaxy S8, the S8 and the S8+. One model will have a 5.8-inch display while the

other will have a 6.2-inch display. Both, according to Kuo, are said to be OLED

and feature WQHD+ resolutions of 2960×2400.

The Galaxy S8 and S8+ will have larger display screens than any of the previous

generation models. From “The smaller Galaxy S8 will have a 5.8-inch

screen stuffed into a phone that’s just a bit larger than Apple’s 4.7-inch iPhone 7,

and the Galaxy S8+ will cram a massive 6.2-inch display into a phone that’s

roughly the same size as the 5.5-inch iPhone 7 Plus.”

According to Mashable, new leaked images reveal the new device won’t have

a home button on the front of the phones, but will include a virtual home button

that works the same way."

*5:43 AM 3/15/2017 EDST. South Korea presidential election date announced

By Euan McKirdy, CNN

Updated 5:13 AM ET, Wed March 15, 2017

South Korea deals with presidential ousting.

South Koreans set to go to the polls May 9.

Special election convened after ex-leader's impeachment upheld less than a

week ago.

"(CNN)The date for South Korea's presidential election has been announced,

with the country set to vote on its next leader nearly two months after a court

upheld the impeachment of former President Park Geun-hye.

That's the difference between a dictatorship and a democracy. In a dictatorship

you're not free and cannot replace corrupt leadership. In a democracy the latter

is reversed.

*6:07 AM 3/15/2017 EDST. Making Sense Of The Dutch Election — And The Role

Geert Wilders May Play.

"After the United Kingdom's vote to leave the European Union and Donald

Trump's U.S. victory last year, political analysts wonder if populism will gain

ground on the European continent amid the impact of a migration crisis and

dissatisfaction with the European Union. With elections approaching in

France, Germany and the Netherlands, the question has gained urgency.

The answer may start to become clearer Wednesday, when the first of these

elections takes place and Dutch voters head to the polls. Among the front-

runners in the Netherlands parliamentary election is Geert Wilders' right-wing

Freedom Party.

For 'Dutch Donald Trump,' A Surge In Popularity Before March Elections.

Wilders, who's been compared to Trump by the Dutch press and some voters,

is a colorful figure, known for his bleached-blond pompadour and extreme

rhetoric. He has been running an anti-Islam, anti-immigrant "Holland First"-

style campaign and has vowed to "make the Netherlands ours again." The

Freedom Party had been leading in the polls, but recently slipped."

I've said this several times before that the election of President Trump has

encouraged other nations to "make my country great again" or make my

country ours again."

THE HAGUE, Netherlands - The Netherlands' main exit poll suggests Prime

Minister Mark Rutte easily defeated anti-Islam lawmaker Geert Wilders in

Wednesday's Dutch parliamentary election, which was seen as a litmus test

winning the Dutch election unless the exit polls are wrong, of course. Let's wait

for the final tally tomorrow.

too many flights and oversized aircraft." Because of this, there has been an

on June 4. The airline said "costs in Havana to turn an aircraft significantly

exceeded our initial assumptions.""

*6:22 AM 3/15/2017 EDST. The first solar eclipse to cross America in 99 years

is coming. To some, it's an act of God.Washington Post - 16 minutes ago.

"On Monday, Aug. 21, in the middle of the day, the sky will go dark. The

temperature will suddenly get several degrees colder. Birds will stop chirping

and retreat to their nests. And tens of millions of people, crammed into a 60-

mile-wide path that crosses from Oregon to the Carolinas, will stand in

America looking up at the sky.

The total solar eclipse that will cross America this summer — an event that last

happened 99 years ago — will be an important moment for scientific observers

and a massive nationwide spectator event. It will also, for many people of faith,

be evidence of God’s majesty — and even, to a few, a harbinger of the coming

end of the world."

Events like a solar eclipse often bring out deranged leaders who forecast the

end of the world and convince their followers to commit suicide. I hope that

doesn't happen. I would doubt that few alive today who see this event again if

only occurs every 99 years. I will be almost 75 years old on August 21, so I'd

have to live to be 174 years. I'm sure I'm going to see it, but not from earth. as

long as I go to Heaven. If I go the other way I'll never see it again.

*6:22 AM 3/15/2017 EDST. The heartbreaking reason some schools never seem

to grant snow days. Washington Post - 18 minutes ago.

"When school districts decide to stay open during inclement weather, many

parents assume that it relates to the roads.

But there’s another reason schools are reluctant to grant snow days: Their

students may have little to eat at home. According to the Agriculture

Department, 20 million students receive free lunch, and 11.7 million receive

free breakfast, at school."

Schools should not remain open in inclement weather just to feed hungry kids.

It's the parents or guardians fault that kids go hungry. They can find a better

job or move from the area to more opportunities. I believe that it's like a

family cycle of living off the government. That cycle has to be broken somehow.
