"It is better to be homeless and content than to have a home and be unhappy."

**I've told you before that I've been homeless. Some people say I'm much like my

Uncle Paul who was homeless most of the latter part of his life.

I'm not homeless now because I'm here at my home in Ohio.

If I would have known that there were homeless shelters when I was hitch-hiking

I would have used those to save money, but that, of course, was a long time ago.

Most of my homeless nights and days in the last few years were spent in my 1986

Honda Accord.

In one state I spent several nights in a homeless shelter and a week or so in a

shelter that I will call Harbor Lights. In this same state I spent many days staying

in the Honda with temperatures, at times, hovering around 10 degrees. Most of

these times I parked in a Walmart parking lot. I also spent one night in a hospital

waiting room.

In driving from state to state, I would stay in Walmart parking lots, campgrounds

or cheap motels.

In another state I also spent several nights staying in the Honda in a Walmart

parking lot.

The third state I will mention because this was totally my choice. Las Vegas,

Nevada. I spent from the middle of January, 2016 to the last of May 2016, parked

in a Walmart parking lot. I had money, but not enough to rent a decent place to

stay, buy food and other things I needed.

At all of these places that I stayed in the Honda I was offered assistance by a good

To look back on those homeless days and nights I can say that being alone ain't so

bad after all.

I received the following email message from

Good news, Forrest!

Hong Kong

Chinese special administrative region

"Hong Kong is an autonomous territory, and former British colony, in southeastern

China. Its vibrant, densely populated urban centre is a major port and global

financial hub with a skyscraper-studded skyline. Central (the business district)

features architectural landmarks like I.M. Pei’s Bank of China Tower. Hong Kong

is also a major shopping destination, famed for bespoke tailors and Temple Street

Night Market.

Population: 7.188 million (2013) World Bank."

**I failed to jog again yesterday. It rained all day with downpours from time to

time. This is 2 days in row that I have not jogged. I need to jog today. Period.

**8:08 AM 4/1/2017 EDT. I just checked the weather outside. The skies are grey

and the temperature is about 40 degrees. I'll probably go to Orrville, park the Honda

at Orr Park and jog on the sidewalks from there.

**I drove down to the grocery store in Orrville yesterday to purchase cokes that

were on sale. And guess what? I had left my headlights on and when I returned to

the Honda the battery was dead. So I phoned Carolyn and she told me she would

drive the black VW (Volkswagen) to where I was at in the parking lot. We could

not open the hood of the VW until I checked the owner's manual. I was finally

able to open it and hook up the battery cables. The Honda came back to life and

I put the Honda in gear and when I left town and came to Chippewa Road, I floored

the Honda to 70 mph (miles per hour) to recharged the battery.

I got back to the house about 2:30 PM. Bill had an appointment with H and R Block

in Orrville at 3:00 PM to get his taxes done so we had to hurry and we made it just

in time.
