"I have never met an Asian Indian I did not like."

Forrest Caricofe

**Yesterday I mowed the grass which took about 4 hours and picked up most of the dead

plant leavings and branches from the ground and took them to the fire pit in the back of

the property. The property is about an acre in area and if you subtract the house and the

garage I have about 3/4 of an acre to mow.

I hope I don't have any driving responsibilities today so I can continue to seed the brown

bare places in the yard. The temperatures today will be a little cooler with a high of 54°

and a low of 37° with mostly cloudy skies. I have worn shorts except for about 7 days

during the winter, but besides wearing shorts and going barefooted today I'll need to wear

a coat because the top part of my body always gets colder than the bottom part.

**According to this report businesses and individuals will receive one of the biggest tax

cuts of all time. President Trump said that this tax cut will be announced next week.

*7:27 AM 4/22/2017 EDT. Obama-appointed US surgeon general resigns at Trump's

request. Washington Examiner - ‎28 minutes ago‎.

By Daniel Chaitin | Apr 22, 2017, 6:34 AM.

**Vivek Murthy is no longer surgeon general. He was asked to step down. The new

surgeon general will be Rear Admiral (RADM) Sylvia Trent-Adams.

"In a Facebook post late Friday, Murthy, 39, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to

serve as surgeon general and talked about his Indian roots.

"For the grandson of a poor farmer from India to be asked by the President to look out for

the health of an entire nation was a humbling and uniquely American story," he wrote. "I

will always be grateful to our country for welcoming my immigrant family nearly 40 years

ago and giving me this opportunity to serve."

*7:46 AM 4/22/2017 EDT. Trump to ExxonMobil: No waiver from Russia sanctions.

Washington Post - ‎14 hours ago‎.

**Secretary of State Rex Tillerson joined ExxonMobil in 1975 and rose to serve as the

chairman. I wonder how he is feeling about Trump's statement to ExxonMobil?

And President Trump has surprised a lot of people by sticking by his guns on Russian

sanctions after Putin and Russia tried so hard to help him win the US presidential election.

*8:11 AM 4/22/2017 EDT. Lyrid meteor shower 2017: When will it peak and how to watch - ‎11 hours ago.

**According to NASA the best viewing nights will be April 22 (tonight) and April 23

(‎tomorrow night). Those of you that are watching could see up to 18 meteors per hour

if there is a dark open sky and you are away from lights. You should lie on your back with

your feet pointing east and looking straight up.

"The Lyrids have been observed for roughly 2,700 years. The first recorded sighting was in

687 BC by the Chinese, according to NASA."

*8:57 AM 4/22/2017 EDT. FDA Further Restricts Pain Medication Use in Kids.

U.S. News & World Report - ‎Apr 20, 2017‎.

**The FDA is restricting the use of two powerful opioid painkillers, codeine and tramadol

in children. These drugs could become additive and cause a long life of opioid addiction.

I've known people who take pain killers at the slightest hint of pain including Tylenol,

Aleve, and other over the counter painkillers. I believe that pain comes from advancing age

and I just endure the pain unless it's overwhelming and then I might take a Tylenol or

Bayer aspirin.

*9:35 AM 4/22/2017 EDT. British PM May refuses to rule out personal tax hikes after

election. Reuters - 21 minutes ago.

**I do not understand economics although I've taken courses in economics and micro-

economics. President Trump from above said that he will announce a massive tax cut for

businesses and individuals and Prime Minister May says that after the election she may

raise taxes on individuals. The only thing I can think of is that for some reason the

British have dwindling income from trade after leaving the European Union.

Britain leaving the European Union has been named Brexit. "It is a word that has become

used as a shorthand way of saying the UK leaving the EU - merging the words Britain and

exit to get Brexit, in a same way as a possible Greek exit from the euro was dubbed Grexit

in the past."
