"Everyone of us are a member of a nation of immigrants."

Forrest Caricofe

**Yesterday I was able to complete the grass seeding of bare places in the lawn east of the

u-shaped driveway north of the back of the garage. I ran out of just and now I'm using

Scot's Lawn Repair Mix that is a combination of Kentucky Blue Grass, fertilizer and other

nutrients. I simply break up the ground in the bare place with a shovel, mash the mix

down with the garden tractor and then water it good with the water hose. Today I should

be able to repair the brown bare spaces directly in front of the house then move to the

back of the house to the southwestern part of the lawn where most of the bare spaces are

located. The weather will be warmer today with mostly sunny skies and temperatures at

high of 67° and a low of 42°.

**Ryan and I went to Walmart yesterday to buy somethings for him, myself and the house.

As is usual on Saturday Walmart was crowded with shoppers all friendly and polite because

like I told you before "you be friendly first" with a Hi and a smile as you pass.

After Ryan and I had gotten the items we needed, I went to the checkout and the checkout

young woman was someone I'd met before. I usual don't use names in a story, but her

name is too beautiful not to tell you. Her name was Clemincia and she was from the

country of Columbia in South America. This time while Ryan and I were placing items on

the conveyer and then I placing items in the cart after Cleminica had rang up the

purchases, I asked her about the peace deal between the (1) FARC rebels and the

government. She said that things were much the same in her native country there being

some progress but not enough. Ryan and I said thank you and bye to her as we left to

load the purchased items in the Honda.

(1)"Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia.

The Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia—People's Army (Spanish: Fuerzas Armadas

Revolucionarias de Colombia—Ej√©rcito del Pueblo, FARC–EP and FARC) was a guerrilla

movement involved in the continuing Colombian armed conflict since 1964."

FARC - Wikipedia

Ryan and I then went to KFC for a bucket of chicken and sides, we bought cream sticks

for Bill at a Triple K service station because the machine at Walmart to make cream sticks

was broken and then the Honda sped up to 75 mph on US Route 585 headed for Smithville,

we turned right in the center of town and down to 25 mph going south to Smucker Road,

turned left on Smucker Road and up to 35 mph and then to 60 mph before the intersection

of Smucker and Apple Creek Roads and the 4-way stop. Then 10 mph over the needing

repair railroad tracks and then up to 65 mph for about 2 miles before we turned right into

the u-shaped driveway at the house.

*8:16 AM 4/23/2017 EDT.  French presidential election: Voters take to the polls under

heightened security. Fox News - ‎3 hours ago‎.

**French citizens go to the polls today to elect a president. There are 11 candidates with

4 front-runners, none are expected to secure a majority today and it is believed that a 2nd

round of voting will be necessary. One who has a real chance of winning is Marine Le Pen

of the far-right National Front. She has said that "Islamism Has Declared War On Our

Nation, On Reason, On Civilization." Breitbart News.

This election is seen as a test for the spread of (1) populism around the world much like

the US populist President Donald Trump.

(1) Populism is a political doctrine that proposes that the common people are exploited by

a privileged elite, and which seeks to resolve this.

*8:16 AM 4/23/2017 EDT. Why Trump should think twice before blaming someone else for

his first 100 days. Washington Post - ‎1 hour ago.‎

**The Washington Post went on to say that Trump has blamed the media by way of

Twitter, "Democrats in Congress, conservative House Republicans and pretty much

everyone else but himself." The Washington Post (my brother Roland calls the paper The

Washington Compost) is a very liberal newspaper and you at the newspaper what did your

liberal President Obama accomplish in 8 years?

*8:16 AM 4/23/2017 EDT. Trump announces rally in Pennsylvania marking first 100 days

Fox News - ‎14 hours ago.‎

**"President Trump Donald J. Trump tweeted ✔ @realDonaldTrump

"Next Saturday night I will be holding a BIG rally in Pennsylvania. Look forward to it!"

12:10 PM - 22 Apr 2017. 10,120 10,120 Retweets. 47,611 47,611 likes.

The state was cruical to victory. No Republican had won Pennsylvania since George H.W

Bush in 1988.

"Breaking tradition, the rally will be held on the same night as the White House

Correspondents’ Association Dinner. It is custom that the president attends the dinner. But

given Trump's relationship with the media and his view of their coverage, he has been

outspoken about not attending.

The last president to not attend was Ronald Reagan who was recovering from being shot in

an assassination attempt." Fox News.
