QUOTE FOR THIS POST

"Why are there attempts to to obliterate or eradicate the history of a people/culture?"

Forrest Caricofe

YESTERDAY AND TODAY

**The weather today will be mostly sunny with high and low temperatures of 70° and 48°.

The remainder of the week's forecast is temperatures in the 70's again tomorrow and then

80's for Wednesday and Thursday. I need to water the newly planted grass twice a day and

won't have any relief until Thursday when it calls for scattered thunderstorms.

I used up all of my Scot's Repair Mix yesterday so I drove to Orrville to Ace Hardware and

bought 3 more bags of repair mix at $11.99 a piece. I believe I can save at least $1.50 a

bag by going to Walmart or Loews in Wooster and needing at least 20 more bags for

repairing the bare places in the back of the property it might be worth the trip to Wooster.

I went to Bell Stores service station after leaving Ace Hardware to buy gas for the Honda

and the lawn mower.

I'll also will need to mow the lawn again before the rains on Thursday.

NEWS AND A COMMENT

*8:20 AM 4/24/2017 EDT. French election: Emmanuel Macron and Marine Le Pen to fight

for presidency. BBC News - 31 minutes ago.

**French voters are now faced with voting in a second round of voting to either vote for

middle-of-the-roader Emmanuel Macron or populist and Trump-like Marine Le Pen.

Yesterday's voting for 11 different candidates did not produce any candidate with a

majority of votes.

*9:15 AM 4/24/2017 EDT. Le Pen attacks Macron on security ahead of French presidency

runoff. Reuters - 19 minutes ago.

**Le Pen who I mentioned yesterday is far right when considering the protection of French

borders. Will the French choose Emmanuel Macron, the centrist, or Le Pen who, I believe is

for manned borders. If the French choose Le Pen the French will return to a long time in

their history.

*9:24 AM 4/24/2017 EDT. Haley won't rule out strike vs North Korea for nuke testing.

Fox News - 45 minutes ago.

**Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley is a tough cookie. Since being appointed

by President Trump. the daughter of Indian immigrants and former governor of South

Carolina, has proven her worthiness.

*9:35 AM 4/24/2017 EDT. New Orleans begins controversial removal of Confederate

monuments. In the dark of night, workers wearing masks and tactical vests arrived

Monday at New Orleans' Battle of Liberty Place monument to take it down.

CNN - ‎32 minutes ago‎.

**I'm a little bit more than upset by this action in New Orleans. I'm from the south being

born and raised in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. These monuments are simply a part

of our history of our nation. Is our nation headed toward erasing all of our history of the

Civil War? I would compare this to Hitler attempting to obliterate or eradicate all history

of the Jews, God's chosen people.
