QUOTE FOR THIS POST

"Women's rights should always be equal to men's rights."

Forrest Caricofe

YESTERDAY AND TODAY

**Today's weather is forecasted for thunderstorms in the afternoon and high and low

temperatures of 73° and 47°. I should be able to seed the remainder of the brown bare

places in the yard before the rains begin this afternoon. If it rains I plan to take Bill's

Toyota truck to Loews and Walmart to buy about 15 bags of black mulch, a bag of fertilizer

and some different color marigolds than the yellow only that I've planted in the flower box

on tree stump at the western side of the house.

OTHER THINGS I HAVE ON MY MIND

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Susan B. Anthony

Women's rights activist

"Susan Brownell Anthony was an American social reformer and women's rights activist

who played a pivotal role in the women's suffrage movement.

Born: February 15, 1820, Adams, MA.

Died: March 13, 1906, Rochester, NY.

Buried: Mount Hope Cemetery, Rochester, NY.

Siblings: Daniel Read Anthony, Mary Stafford Anthony, Merritt Anthony, Hannah Anthony,

Guelma Anthony McLean.

Quotes

"Men, their rights, and nothing more; women, their rights, and nothing less."

"Independence is happiness.""

**Susan B. Anthony also once said that  “Woman must not depend upon the protection of

man, but must be taught to protect herself.”

Most cultures and religions believe that men must protect women. What if a woman does

not have a man, what is she to do? She may have the protection of her family now but if

circumstances like death and/or separation leave her alone what is she to do? I need

practically no one because I can do almost everything for myself. I believe that women

from childhood should be taught to take care of themselves.

NEWS AND A COMMENT

*6:29 AM 4/27/2017 EDT. Anti-missile system in South Korea operational in 'coming days'

CNN - ‎1 hour ago‎.

"Washington (CNN) The US anti-missile system designed to mitigate the threat of North

Korea's missiles will soon be operational, US and South Korean defense officials said

Wednesday."

**I was at a missile site about an hour east of Osan when I served as a sentry dog handler

in the U.S. Army. I believed that the missiles we had at that time were capable of striking

down missiles launched by North Korea. I evidently was wrong. Were they just a fake show

of force?

*6:40 AM 4/27/2017 EDT. Trump orders review of national monuments, vows to 'end these

abuses and return control to the people.' Washington Post - ‎9 hours ago‎. By Juliet Eilperin

April 26 at 1:30 PM.

"President Trump signed an executive order Wednesday instructing Interior Secretary

Ryan Zinke to review any national monument created since Jan. 1, 1996, that spans at

least 100,000 acres, in a move he said would “end another egregious use of government

power.”

President Trump signed than executive order Wednesday instructing Interior

Secretary Ryan Zinke to review any national monument created since Jan. 1, 1996, that

spans at least 100,000 acres in a move he said would “end another egregious use of

government power.”

**The liberal media keeps saying that President Trump has not accomplished anything in

his first 100 days in office. What did former President Obama accomplish in his 8 years in

office? Trump is dealing with the usual people in government. Liberal Democrats and

Republicans as well as ultra conservative Republicans. Liberal media and those simply anti-

Trump people who are still frustrated because Hillary lost the election. From above we can

see that Trump is attempting to return the power to U.S. citizens. This executive order

allows companies/citizens to explore for coal, oil, gas and other on now federally protected

lands many of which were saved by former President Obama. I believe that this can be

done and at the same time be hidden from public view.

*7:20 AM 4/27/2017 EDT. Dow Chemical reports five-fold jump in profit.

Reuters - 15 minutes ago.

**I told you the other day that I had a small sum in an investment account at my bank.

It's doing quit well and I'm wondering if one of the stocks in my portfolio is Dow Chemical.

I receive mail almost everyday regarding companies that are a part of my portfolio, almost

enough to take away a small tree from the forest after I was assured that there would be

no paperwork generated because I do all my banking online. I have not opened any of the

envelopes yet and I could have Walmart stock. Separately, I have about 5 Wamart stocks

from working at a 3 story Walmart in Omaha, Nebraska off 72nd Street which my

daughter-in-law, Erin, calls the ghetto Walmart. Thanks a lot, Erin.
