YESTERDAY AND TODAY

**I got little done yesterday except seeding some of the brown bare places in the yard. I

worked maybe an hour and then went back in to the house because I was soaking wet.

**6:50 AM 5/5/2017 EDT. I just went outdoors and it's raining, not a downpour but a

rain the farmer's like with a gentle and continuous drizzle upon the earth. The high and

low temperatures of today are forecasted at 52° and 41° and I can tell by the American flag

on the northeast corner border pole that the wind is blowing in from the east at about 5

miles per hour. I hope, again, to finish grass seeding the brown bare places in the yard

which may take about 3 hours more or less. And then if I get time I want to plant seeds

and mark the spots where I plant them with the different colored sturdy straws I bought

at Dollar Tree.

**9:19 AM 5/5/2017 EDT. I just went outdoors to take the trash out. Same weather as

above

**Our dog, Dolly Jo, needs a haircut so I'll drive her to the clippers today.

**I just noticed that I failed to place America flags out front for Patriots Day. The next day

to fly the American flag is on May 8, V-E Day, only 3 days from today.

I HAVE SOMETHING ON MY MIND

**Mother came from a long line of farmers whereas my Father came from a long line of

carpenters. And my Father tried a hand at farming on the place we lived at on Ottobine

Road. I must have been about 12 years old at the time with my brother, Roland next, then

my sister Nancy and then my youngest brother, Jerry, all like steps going down and 3 years

apart. If I was about 12, Roland was 9, Nancy was 6 and Jerry was 3. I believe that Father,

in part, built this place for Mother because of her growing up on a farm. I don't remember

exactly what Father built and what was already there. The chicken house was old so I

assume that was there. I know he built the small barn because I climbed up one of the 4

corners of cinder block just built by my Father and it gave way, I fell on my back which

knocked the breath out of me. I know we had chickens, a pig and a dog. I don't believe we

had a horse, but maybe a cow.

It very hard to remember events that happened almost 62 years ago.

NEWS AND A COMMENT

*7:19 AM 5/5/2017 EDT. North Korea claims US 'biochemical' plot to kill Kim Jong Un.

"North Korea has accused the US and South Korea of attempting to assassinate leader

Kim Jong Un with a "bio-chemical substance."

**I told you that that little fat *%#$^@! was paranoid.

*7:23 AM 5/5/2017 EDT. Prince Philip Is Retiring but Queen Elizabeth II Won't Abdicate.

Telegraph.co.uk. Experts: NBCNews.com - ‎10 minutes ago‎.

**Queen Elizabeth II's coronation was on June 2, 1953 when I was about 11 years old.

That has been about 64 years.

"Prince Charles is presently heir (next in line) to the British throne. He will not become

king until his mother, Queen Elizabeth, abdicates (gives up the throne), retires or dies.

When either of these happen, Prince Charles may abdicate and pass the throne to his

eldest son Prince William." projectbritain.com/royal/succession.htm.

The wielding of power is hard to let go of for those that have it. Let it go your grace and let

your son, Prince Charles, have a chance to rule Britain.

**The first leg of the Triple Crown will be tomorrow at the time above. Classic Empire is

odds will change after the betting starts tomorrow. If you are betting, good luck.

*8:46 AM 5/5/2017 EDT. U.S. job growth rebounds sharply, unemployment rate hits 4.4

percent.

"U.S. job growth rebounded sharply in April and the unemployment rate dropped to

a near 10-year low of 4.4 percent, signs of a tightening labor market that could seal the

case for an interest rate increase next month despite moderate wage growth."

By Lucia Mutikani | WASHINGTON - http://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-economy-

idUSodKBN1810BZ.

**I attributed much of this to Trump's promise of tax cuts for businesses and individuals,

convincing companies to keep their operations in America, higher tariffs on imports, giving

jobs to American citizens first and other things that will contribute to "making America

great again."

*9:18 AM 5/5/2017 EDT. Report: Two people dead cargo plane goes off runway in West

Virginia. Fox News - 28 minutes ago.

**I like West Virginia and its' people. I was born and raised just accross the the Applachian

Mountain chain from Franklin, West Virginia and beyond in the Shenandoah Valley of

Virginia. There have been numerous crashes over the years because all sides are sloping

downward. Maybe if they could cut the runway to the base of the slopes then maybe the

tradgey of above can be prevented in the future?
