**Yesterday. I went to Walmart and Lowes like I told you I would and as I drove to those

stores I saw that almost no one was outside because of heat. When I was a kid, when
we live in Dayton on Thompson Street, our parents wanted us kids, who were old enough,
to be outside to explore, go to Roth's grocery store for food items or other things that we
needed or just play with other kids in the town.

At Walmart I bought a microwave and other things I needed and at Lowes I purchased 25

discounted plants. After returning to the house I went Drabenstots' in Orrville for takeout

for the others and after returning I watered the flower beds.

**Today. The weather calls for a high and low temperature of 88° and 69° with partly

cloudy skies. If it doesn't rain today I'll have to water the flower beds, the next 3 days

calling for rain so maybe I'll get a break. I purchased about 25 discounted plants, mostly

pernnials and Lowes yesterday at the cost of about $29 with my veteran's 10% discount.

I'm driving twice to Wooster today, so I don't know if I'll have the time to plant them. If

not, and it doesn't rain, I'll keep them watered.

My first drive to Wooster will be for an appointment for me at Dr. Kwoks at 9:40 AM. I

believe it's just a semi-annual checkup there being nothing wrong with me now.

12:17 PM.  I didn't have an appointment with Dr. Kwok  after all.  366 days have to go by before

Medicare will pay for my annual physical.

I had other things to do like purchasing 4 bags of water softener salt at $4.99 a bag at Sav-A-Lot. I

also got gas for the Honda at Bell Stores gas station and after that I drove to Rite to replenish my

stock of Orleans sardines and other things, all  very close to each other in Wooster and Dr. Kwok's

**I've been alone almost all my life. Or maybe I've just been left alone almost all my life.

I've traveled to places when I was a member of the the military. I drove alone to Fort

McCoy, Wisconsin; Fort Chaffee, Arkansas; AP Hill,Virginia; a fort in Pennsylvania that I

cannot remember now; Fort Knox, Kentucky many times; Fort Campbell, Kentucky; Fort

Gordon, Georgia and others.

I drove alone to Omaha, Nebraska where my son, Michael, and my daughter-in-law, Erin,

live countless times and on different roads. The same for Virginia where I either was a

companion to Mother or helped take care of her near the end of her life. I've also driven

alone to Virginia for family visits, reunions and funerals.

In the last year or so, after Mother died, I've driven alone to Omaha, Nebraska and Las

Vegas, Nevada where I stayed for a while. Alone.

I use to walk a lot, sometimes for 3 - 8 hours, and always alone.

I began my web site in Las Vegas, alone and staying in my Honda in the parking lot of a

Walmart alone. Since then I've told my stories (blogs) and produced videos alone with

some help from, OnlyWire, YouTube and Google, OnlyWire just recently.

I have made trips by airlines, Amtrak and Greyhound with only strangers as fellow

Was I alone with my thoughts when I was in public education or college being in a

classroom with other students? All most always.

I asked this question in a story (blog) not long ago, Am I alone because of my behavior or

is it because I like being alone?

My answer is " I like being alone."

I told you before that all my friends are strangers like the "unknown perfect stranger" I

communicate with on Facebook.

Statehood. New York Times - ‎11 hours ago.

By Darran Simon and Susannah Cullinane, CNN, Updated 5:54 AM ET, Mon June 12, 2017.

"(CNN)Puerto Ricans who voted for US statehood in a non-binding referendum Sunday are

"claiming our equal rights as American citizens," Puerto Rico's governor says.

Ninety-seven percent of the votes favored statehood but voter participation was just 23%

after opposition parties called for a boycott of what they called a "rigged" process in part

over the ballot language.

Congress, the only body that can approve new states, will ultimately decide whether the

status of the US commonwealth changes."

**I talked about this in yesterday's story (blog) about a young man I talked to who said

that statehood for Puerto Rico would never happen. If the opposition doesn't win out and

the Congress approves it, Puerto Rico will become our 51st state.
