YESTERDAY AND TODAY
**I had no driving duties yesterday so after posting my story (blog) of the day, I went
outdoors and planted the discounted 30, more or less plants, I purchased at Lowes. I also
had some impatients that I had forgotten about. I didn't read the label until just before I'd
planted the last 1 and it said that they require 1 to 3 hours of morning sun, so I had to go
back and replant the other 5 impatients that I had already planted. The birds seem to favor
the back southeast corner flower bed feeder, so I had to fill it with wild bird seed because
it was almost empty.
I also met my last neighbor whose land is connected to our property. He rents the land
from Mr. Troyer whose house is located on Troyer Road. The friendly young man and I
talked about property limits and he was concerned about plants that he may destroy
because the farmland he rents is only about a foot in distance from my flower beds and his
already growing corn. I told him to not worry about it, I buy discounted plants at Lowes
that he didn't know about. He was disking between the growing corn to kill the weeds.
I won't tell you his name because we farmers' like our privacy. I'm not exactly a farmer,
but I would like to be a farmer like I told you yesterday.
And when we parted he said he'd wave whenever he saw me.
It became unusually cold with a very light ran about 4:00 PM, so I drove the lawn mower
and cart back into the garage and then went back into the house.
I showered and then posted a postcrossing with 4 picture postcards and processed and
published a video.
**Today I'll post my story (blog) of the day, postcrossing and maybe a video or 2.
I've still failed to upload a favicon (subscribe button) to blogger.com and I need to work on
that and I still have only 6 subscribers subscribing to my YouTube videos. Something is
wrong with the subscribe button I uploaded to YouTube in their branding section or my
videos are not liked well enough to subscribe to.
The weather forecast for today calls for a high and low of 64° and 50° with cloudy skies.
I hope to plant 3 bags of bulbs I bought at Dollar General for $2 each, sow some more
grass seed, pull weeds and start to mow the lawn again until Ryan is ready to mow.
I also need to drive to my PNC (Pittsburgh National Corporation) bank to deposit a check,
to Rite Aid if we have a prescription medication ready and maybe stop at Buehler's
grocery store if we need groceries or other things for the house.
I HAVE SOMETHING ON MY MIND
**I sincerely believe that I'm a good shopper who buys only the things I need and not just
want. I always check the price and ingredients, if it's a food, and other information on the
wrapper or container. Some people pick out what they want without looking at the price
and/or picking only brand names when generic brands are made/produced by the same
company and sold under a different label. For an example I have 2 generic brands of
mustard on my shelf that I use on my sardine sandwich every morning and neither is
Frenches' or Heinz. One is Our Family brand that's sold at Buehler's grocery store and the
other one is Kurtz that I buy at Save A Lot. I probably saved a $1 on each by buying the
generic.
When I was in Virginia either being a companion to or helping take care of Mother I often
shopped a Sharp Shoppers. They feature groceries and other items that are excess from
other stores that they then offer these items at discounted prices. They should rename
their store after me, Smart Shopper.
You know I purchase discounted plants at Lowes and with my 10% veteran's I save a lot.
The discount is always on the receipt and one time I saved more than I spent.
I do purchase somethings that I might need for a video. If I later decide not to use these
items, I'll give them to Restoration Thrift or Goodwill in Orrville.
I'm tight with spending money because I take after Father and Mother who lived through
the Great Depression that occurred worldwide from October 29, 1929 – 1939 (3 years before
I was born).
The United States presidents during that time were Presidents' Herbert Hoover and
Franklin D. Roosevelt.
"President Herbert Hoover, a member of the Republican Party, took office as the 31st
President of the United States on March 4, 1929 at age 54. Hoover served in office for 4
years and left when he lost reelection to Franklin D. Roosevelt.
Franklin D. Roosevelt, a member of the Democratic Party, took office as the 32nd President
of the United States on March 4, 1933 at age 51. Roosevelt served in office for 12 years and
1 month and died in office from cerebral hemorrhage."

Bottom line, I believe I save at least 10% or more because I'm a smart shopper.
NEWS AND A COMMENT
*7:17 AM 6/7/2017 EDT. Iran attacks LIVE UPDATES: "Islamic State claims responsibility;
second suicide bombing at Khomeini shrine.
"Shi`ite Iran has been singled out as a target by Sunni jihadists, including the Islamic
State group, but has largely escaped attacks within its urban centres."
Note: "Shi`ite = Shia.
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:
Shia–Sunni relations:
"Sunni Islam and Shia Islam are the two major denominations of Islam. Their division
traces back to a Sunni–Shia schism following the death of the Islamic prophet Muhammad
in the year 632. A dispute over succession to Muhammad as a caliph of the Islamic
community spread across various parts of the world, which led to the Battle of Jamal and
Battle of Siffin. The dispute intensified greatly after the Battle of Karbala, in which Hussein
ibn Ali and his household were killed by the ruling Umayyad Caliph Yazid I, and the outcry
for revenge divided the early Islamic community.
The present demographic breakdown between the two denominations is difficult to assess
and varies by source, but a good approximation is that 85–90% of the world's Muslims are
Sunni and 10–15% are Shia, with most Shias belonging to the Twelver tradition and the
rest divided between many other groups. Sunnis are a majority in most Muslim
communities: in Southeast Asia, China, South Asia, Africa, and most of the Arab world. Shia
make up the majority of the citizen population in Iraq, Bahrain, Lebanon, Iran and
Azerbaijan, as well as being a politically significant minority in Pakistan, Syria and Yemen.
Azerbaijan is predominantly Shia; however, practicing adherents are much fewer.
Indonesia has the largest number of Sunni Muslims, while Iran has the largest number of
Shia Muslims (Twelver) in the world. Pakistan has the second-largest Sunni. India has the
second-largest Shia Muslim (Twelver) population in the world.
Today, there are differences in religious practice, traditions, and customs, often related to
jurisprudence. Although all Muslim groups consider the Quran to be divine, Sunni and Shia
have different opinions on hadith.
In recent years, Sunni–Shia relations have been increasingly marked by conflict,
particularly the Iran–Saudi Arabia proxy conflict. Sectarian violence persists to this day
from Pakistan to Yemen and is a major element of friction throughout the Middle East.
Tensions between communities have intensified during power struggles, such as the
Bahraini uprising, the Iraq War, and most recently the Syrian Civil War and in the
formation of the self-styled Islamic State of Iraq and Syria that has launched a genocide
against Shias."
**Like I said before about the gangs in Chicago and elsewhere, put them on a deserted
island and let them kill each other over the the things they need to survive. I've
changed my mind regarding the Sunni jihadists' and the evil among them of the Sunnis'
(Shiites) sworn enemies since long ago.
Place them both on a troop ship (renamed terrorist ship for now) like I was on and let
them fight it out for dominance or food, sleep places or other things that they believe may
help them to survive. When arriving at the desert island those who are still alive will be
given AK 47s, hand grenades and other weapons of destruction so maybe only maybe 1 or
2 may be left alive after a period of time. The captain of the ship, along with his co-captain
and other sailors needed to run a large ship encased from danger by double bullet proof
glass with food, bathroom and sleeping quarters fit for a king will the turn the large ship
around and leave the not now deserted island forever.
*8:55 AM 6/7/2017 EDT. Trump to nominate Christopher Wray to be FBI director
Fox News - 37 minutes ago.
"President Trump on Wednesday said he intended to nominate former assistant attorney
general Christopher Wray to be the next FBI director."
**President Trump fired former FBI director James Comey who was an imposing figure
and well-liked by almost everyone. Will Christopher Wray match up to the popularity of
James Comey? I think not.
*7:34 AM 6/7/2017 EDT. Why the latest Russia news paints an increasingly grim picture
for Trump. Washington Post - 55 minutes ago.
"As top intelligence and law enforcement officials testify in front of Congress this week,
one big question looms: Did President Trump attempt to obstruct justice in the Russia
investigation?"
**Why do these obstructions to President Trump "Making America Great Again" seem
never ending? Maybe Hillary Clinton and former President Obama are working behind the
scenes to pay back President Trump for Hillary losing the election?
*8:58 AM 6/7/2017 EDT. Aultman Hospital announces free Health Talks for June
The-review - 5 hours ago.
**I've made a few videos of driving to, driving back to the house or inside Aultman
Hospital in Canton, Ohio when Bill was a patient there. Most all hospitals have funds set
aside for people who cannot pay and this is another free health talks addition to the
popularity of this hospital.
