YESTERDAY AND TODAY

**Yesterday. After posting my story (blog) of the day at about 11:30 AM and a postcrossing

story (blog) with information about the person who I sent a postcard to in Canada, I went

outdoors in a coat because of the unusual cold for this time of year, but I still wore my

shorts and went barefooted.

I was able to plant the bulbs I had except for 3 and I hope to plant those bulbs today. I

also mowed the grass, mowing the grass as usual around the house, but mowing from

the southeast corner to the northwest corner in the back.

I changed the subscribe button (icon) on my YouTube videos from white and blue and

lasting the entire video to clear, which is recommended, and lasts for a minute at the end

of the video. I still have not placed a subscribe button on blogger.com and, again, I'll work

on that today.

**Today. I finally completed my Ancestry DNA process yesterday afternoon and I'll mail it

today. I'm anxious to know if I'm just pure German.

Besides planting those 3 remaining bulbs, I'll spray some more weed killer if the sun is

out, sow some grass seed, maybe replant some plants and other things that I will see

when I get out into the flower beds and the yard. The weather forecast calls for a high and

low of 70° and 49° and partly cloudy skies so I'm assuming that the sun will be out off and

on so I can spray the weed killer.

I HAVE SOMETHING ON MY MIND

**Most all of us have skeletons in our closet that we'll never tell, known now and forever

by only you or me and God.

Must we tell our secrets?

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The major religions of the world are "Christianity (31.5%) Islam (23.2%) Hinduism

(15.0%) Buddhism (7.1%) Folk religions (5.9%)" and 4,200 other religions in the world.

The reason I'm saying this, is I don't want to leave anyone out but it would be an

impossible task to even just mentioning them all.

Sorry. However, I may mention Hinduism and Buddhism when I can get my act together.

What the Christian English Standard Vershion Bible says about keeping your own secrets?:

Keeping secrets of one type is always wrong: trying to hide sin. “He who conceals his sins

does not prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy” (Proverbs

28:13). When it comes to our sin, God wants full disclosure, and He grants full forgiveness

(Isaiah 1:18).

Of course, there’s no use trying to hide our sin from God. Keeping secrets from Him is

impossible. He is “the God of gods . . . and a revealer of secrets” (Daniel 2:47, NKJV). Even

our “secret sins” are exposed in His light (Psalm 90:8). “For nothing is secret that will not

be revealed, nor anything hidden that will not be known and come to light” (Luke 8:17).

God Himself keeps secrets. There are some things—probably many things—hidden from us:

“The secret things belong to the LORD our God” (Deuteronomy 29:29). Jesus asked several

people to keep miracles He had done secret. For example, Jesus healed two blind men and

told them, “See that no one knows about this” (Matthew 9:30). When Job realized the

immensity of God’s knowledge, he spoke of “things too wonderful for me to know” (Job

42:3).

We can conclude that God does not consider keeping secrets to be sinful in and of itself.

What does the Quran says about keeping your own secrets?:

What is mentioned in Quaran and (1) Hadith (Hadeeth).

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

(1). Hadith: "A hadith (/ˈhædɪθ/ or /hɑːˈdiːθ/; Arabic: حديث‎‎ ḥadīth, plural: ahadith, أحاديث,

ʼaḥādīth) is one of various reports describing the words, actions, or habits of the Islamic

prophet Muhammad. ... Unlike the Qur'an the hadiths were not quickly and concisely

compiled during and immediately after Muhammad's life."

The following addresses keeping promises to other people and not keeping promises to

ones self, but I believe that I can also use it in keeping promises to myself.

The Twenty-First Greater Sin: Non fulfillment of a Promise.

"The twenty-first of the Greater sins is ‘Breaking of a promise.’ There are authentic

traditions to this effect from Abdul Azīm where he quotes that Imam Ja’far as-Sadiq (a.s.)

has proved it to be a Greater sin with the help of the following verse of Holy Qur’an:

“And those who break the covenant of Allah after its confirmation and cut asunder that

which Allah has ordered to be joined and make mischief in the land; (as for) those, upon

them shall be curse and they shall have the evil (issue) of the abode.” (Surah Ra’d 13:25)

The Holy Qur’an denounces the breaking of promise in the following ayat too:

“Yea, whoever fulfills his promise and guards (against evil) - then surely Allah loves those

who guard (against evil).

(As for) those who take a small price for the covenant of Allah and their own oaths - surely

they shall have no portion in the hereafter, and Allah will not speak to them, nor will He

look upon them on the Day of Resurrection nor will He purify them, and they shall have a

painful chastisement.”"(Surah Ali-‘Imrān 3:76-77).

I'm a Christian and from above: "We can conclude that God does not consider keeping

secrets to be sinful in and of itself." (meaning, I believe, that you can tell a sin to God only).

https://www.gotquestions.org/keeping-secrets.html.

If I were a Muslim and follower of Muhammad I would from above:

"(As for) those who take a small price for the covenant of Allah and their own oaths -

surely they shall have no portion in the hereafter, and Allah will not speak to them, nor

will He look upon them on the Day of Resurrection nor will He purify them, and they shall

have a painful chastisement.”"(Surah Ali-‘Imrān 3:76-77).

If I got this wrong I apologize to all Muslims.

NEWS AND A COMMENT

*6:04 AM 6/8/2017 EDT. Iran rejects Trump's condolences after terror attack, calls

statement 'repugnant.' Fox News - ‎3 hours ago‎.

"A top Iranian official on Thursday rejected President Trump’s condolences after a pair of

terror attacks in Tehran, saying, "Iranian people reject such U.S. claims of friendship.”

Reuters reported that Iran’s foreign minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif, called the White

House’s statement “repugnant."

ISIS claims responsibility for deadly attacks in Tehran."

**No thank you's, nothing. How rude. I said not long ago that Iran's only friend was North

Korea and both were mostly isolated from the rest of the world. This latest rebuff against

the White House does not make their place in the world any better.

*6:00 AM 6/8/2017 EDT. The NBA Finals are over, and the Golden State Warriors are your

champions. FOXSports.com - ‎4 hours ago.‎

"The Golden State Warriors broke a city's collective heart on Wednesday night, holding off

the Cleveland Cavaliers for a Game 3 win and effectively ending the 2017 NBA Finals."

**The final score was 118 to 113. Do I need to change my prediction with the Warriors

winning in 6 games to the Warriors winning in 4 games?

Professional baseball player Yogi Berra popularized the phrase "It ain't over till it's over."

Well, we'll just have to wait and see.

*8:26 AM 6/8/2017 EDT. Britons vote in election seen strengthening May's Brexit hand

Reuters - ‎48 minutes ago‎.

"LONDON Britons began voting on Thursday in a snap election predicted to give Prime

Minister Theresa May a larger parliamentary majority, which she hopes will strengthen her

hand in looming divorce talks with the European Union."

**Yesterday Prime Minster Theresa May's lead was down to 1 point. I wonder what has

happened since then?

*8:32 AM 6/8/2017 EDT. Senate OKs bill to make firing employees easier for VA.

Fox News - ‎22 hours ago.‎

"The Senate approved broad legislation Tuesday to make firing employees easier for the

beleaguered Department of Veterans Affairs, part of an accountability effort urged by

President Donald Trump following years of high-profile problems."

**I've used the services of the VA. My brother Roland, my Uncle Jack, my Uncle Ray, my

Uncle E. C., my son Michael and my Aunt Bea when she was alive, all use or used

(Aunt Bea) the services of the VA. Aunt Bea was a WAC (Women's Army Corp) during

the WWW II era. My first cousin Brenda's son might be using the services of the VA as well

as my brother Jerry and his wife Janet's son Chris. I hope I haven't left anyone out?

The VA will only improve when they weed out the employees who won't and/or can't do

their jobs.
