**YESTERDAY. After publishing my daily blog, 2 videos and a postcrossing, preparing a

picture postcard for mailing to someone in the Czech Republic that I'll mail tomorrow, I

went outdoors to mow the lawn and plant the 2 remaining plants. We need rain, certain

areas of the yard are brown and the settings of the level I mow at are set on the highest at

6, the mower failing to cut those brown grass places in the yard. The worse brown places

of grass are in the yard are under the large tree we have on the east border and the 2 large

pines in the northwest corner of our property near Smucker Road. These trees are drawing

the water that the grass needs in the same areas and when it's very dry, I need to water

those brown areas in the yard every day. It takes about 4 hours to mow the lawn, so I

accomplished little else but mowing and watering the flower beds and the brown places in

the yard. I went indoors, prepared and ate my nightly salad while watching 'Law and Order'

on TV, and then said my simple prayer, "God Bless Everyone, Amen" and went to bed.

**TODAY. I got up about 3:55 AM 8/24/2017 EDT after going to sleep last night at about

9:00 PM giving me plenty of sleep to type my daily blog I'm working on, prepare another

mailing of a picture postcard to a postcrossing member and to publish 4 videos. I have

over 180 videos on YouTube and I'll start today in deleting those a month old or more with

less than 10 views. Over time, I believe that I can reduce my total number of videos down

to about 50 more or less.

Time permitting, I need to spread the approximate 6 bags of pearl black mulch and water,

support a sunflower in the back circular bed that's dropping, divide, dig up and replant

plants in other flower beds in the back and some other things I need to do that I'll

remember when I go outdoors.

The weather forecast calls for high and low temperatures of 70° and 49° with showers, I

hope. My Acurite Weather Gauge displays a present temperature of 52°, a barometric

pressure of 29.86 and an almost full moon tonight. I just went out on the back porch to

see the Acurite weather gauge, it displaying a temperature of 61° with a humidity level of

**I'm not greedy for money and/or material possessions. I always say "that as long as I

have a few dollars in my pocket that's good enough for me." In saying this I need to have

money for food, shelter and gas/maintenance for the Honda. I don't wish for a large house

house on a hill looking down at the needy and/or an ivory tower looking down on the

downtrodden or a house with 5 bedrooms, 3 baths for only 3 people.

Can we take our money and material possessions with us when we die? Sure we can, but

only as far as the graveyard.

1 Timothy 6:10 ESV (English Standard Version).

"For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some

have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs."

Sura 30, The Romans (Al-Room) [30:39].

"The usury that is practiced to increase some people's wealth, does not gain anything at

GOD. But if you give to charity, seeking GOD's pleasure, these are the ones who receive

their reward manifold."

The above are taken from the 2 major religions, Muslim and Christian, but I don't exclude

any other religions when talking of God.

What am I saying? The accumulation of money and material possessions is a waste of time

better spent on helping others than just helping yourself.

What would happen if most everyone would begin to think like me? There would probable

be a world wide economic depression because most of our world today is dependent on

greed. People would lose their jobs because people would stop purchasing the things

they wanted and instead would only buy the things they needed such as food, clothing

and shelter. No need for transportation if you had no job. The very wealthy would have to

support the middle class and the poor. Farmers who are self sustaining could provide food

for the world, clothing could be made cloth bags or other material, people without homes

could sleep in the woods, deserts or jungles. Many people would die prematurely because

they couldn't afford their prescription medications, and on and on ....

And like the self sustaining farmer, why can't we go back 200 years more or less and live

like they did?
