"What is our mission here on earth? To care about ourselves or others first?"

**YESTERDAY. After my usual publishing of 2 blogs, 1 a postcrossing, I drove to

Orrville to Dollar General for laundry and cleaning supplies, Buehler's Fresh

Foods for some single fruits and the attached Ace Hardware for wild bird feed.

Back at the house, I went outdoors to burn the dried weeds in the fire pit. I first

dug out the dirt that was left from previous burning's and then dragged the dried

weeds from the front of the fire pit to the center. I then placed torn boxes on top

and on top of that I poured gas from the container. I lighted a piece of paper and

threw it on top. Swoosh. It frightened me a little at the sound that it made, but I

was far enough away to prevent any harm to myself.

I quit about 4:30 PM, went back indoors prepared and ate my salad while

watching 'Law and Order, Special Victim's Unit' on TV then my prayer and to bed.

**TODAY. After publishing my daily and a postcrossing about someone I've

received a postcard who lives in Great Britain, I'll clean my room, go outdoors to

sow the remainder of the grass seed and plant some of the flower bulbs that I've

ignored for so long. I'm still picking ripe roma tomatoes from the tomato plants

in the southeast corner flower bed and I'll also need to do that again today.

The weather forecast calls for high and low temperatures of 82°and 57° with

early morning fog. The extended forecast calls for no rain until Tuesday, so I'll

need to water all of the flower beds today.

I always try to make my life interesting each day, so with my always positive

attitude, I'm sure I'll have a delightful day.

**I've probably published over 500 blogs since beginning in about May of 2016.

And I believe I've addressed this issue before, but from a slightly different

Why are we on earth and what is our mission here on earth?

Dr. Supreeya Swarup

Supreeya Swarup is board certified in Internal Medicine and is currently pursuing

her fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease. Feb 24.

What Is Our Purpose In Life? Why Are We Here?

The essential question Of life.

Last paragraph of full article:

"There are also several theories explaining what happens to us after we die. A

simple Google search pulls up several renditions of life after death. However, all

the theories lack evidence to prove they are valid. Thus, I believe as a society

and as human beings we would be far more constructive if we focused on our

time here. We should continue to play all the roles that we play in life however;

we must remember eventually we are here to self-improve and grow to become

the best version of ourselves. By focusing on our own internal evolution, we

essentially make this world a better place for everyone else."

The following scientists did/don't believe in God and share much of the same

views as Dr. Supreeya Swarup and I quote from above: "By focusing on our own

internal evolution, we essentially make this world a better place for everyone

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:

Sigmund Freud (1856–1939): Austrian neurologist and known as Father of

Albert Einstein (1879 - 1955) used many labels to describe his religious views,

including "agnostic", "religious nonbeliever", and a believer in "Spinoza's God.

"However, he rejected other labels like "atheist" and "pantheist".

Stephen Hawking, age 75, who has ALS, or Lou Gehrig's disease.

If Sigmund Freud and Albert Einstein are in Heaven now, I'm sure they're quite

surprised. Maybe they believed along with not believing in God that they would

dissolve into eternal nothingness.

I remember teaching 5th grade in Stanley, Virginia. Our science textbook had a

chapter on the "Big Bang" theory of evolution. Once my students found out what

this theory was about there was loud objections from all of them. These 5th

graders grew up in going to church on Sunday and saying grace at mealtimes. So

I gave up, my students became in charge of the class and I moved on to the next

And to answer my initial question: "Why are we on earth and what is our mission

here on earth?"

I believe in God and I believe that it's selfish to consider myself first. I consider

those I need to help first like a "Good Samaritan."

That is our primary goal on earth.
