YESTERDAY AND TODAY
**YESTERDAY. After publishing my daily blog about 'loneliness,' I went outdoors
to sow the remainder of the grass seed I had and then mowed the lawn. I also
pulled up or cut off dead plants placing them on the fire pit for burning
tomorrow. I was surprised to learn that peaches on the ground under the peach
tree in the southwest corner flower bed where ripe and delicious. I had believed
that it would be a year or more before the smaller than normal peaches would be
edible.
Wade Plumbing worked from about 8:15 AM TO 4:15 PM and within the next
several days should have the new shower installed, excluding the weekend, of
course. Charlie, the owner says the entire project should be completed by
October 3rd or 4th and I'll be able to take a shower again in the basement.
I drove nowhere which is a rarity and ate my supper while watching 'Law and
Order' on TV, then my prayer and to bed.
**TODAY. After publishing my daily blog I'm working on now, I need to drive the
black 2000 VW to the Advance Auto Parts store to have them check the battery
and to my PNC bank for some banking business I need to take care of.
The weather forecast calls for high and low temperatures of 87° and 57° with
mostly sunny skies, with no rain through next Thursday when temperatures will
begin to drop to 70° and 66° on Friday indicating an end to Indian summer.
Celebrate the Autumn Equinox 2017 with Jupiter, Moon Conjunction.

1st paragraph of full article:
"After sunset on Friday, Sept. 22, 2017, look low in the western sky for Jupiter
sitting about 6 degrees to the left of the young crescent moon.
While residents of the northern half of the Earth prepare for shorter days and
colder weather — the first day of fall is today (Sept. 22) — there is a sky
spectacle to enjoy. Earth's moon and the planet Jupiter will be close together in
the sky tonight and tomorrow, shortly after sunset."

As for the rest of the day, I'll just wait and see what happens.
I HAVE SOMETHING ON MY MIND
**Is money important to us? Sure it is, especially if we don't have any.
My Mother grew up on a farm during the world-wide depression that began on
October 29, 1929 and lasted until 1939. They grew their own food and
money was not so important, needing only money for staples such as salt, sugar,
gas, etc.
My Father, on the other hand, grew up "poor as a church mouse," having to quit
school in the 8th grade to help support the family, having to buy food and other
items for survival that my Mother and her family did not.
Is money important to me? Sure it is, but I would like for things to different,
growing my own food, "needing only money for staples such as salt, sugar, gas,
etc.," like Mother's family more than a 100 years ago.
I try to purchase only the things that I need and not those I want. Father and
Mother were tight with their money, I being in most ways like them often times
picking up pennies, "a penny saved is a penny earned."
Do my Father and Mother in Heaven approve of what I'm doing, not being
materialistic, giving to worthwhile organizations and otherwise tight-fisted with
my money?
You know that I must go to Heaven for the answer to that.
