**YESTERDAY. I did not finish my daily blog until early afternoon because of my

eye surgery. My arrival time for surgery was 8:00 AM and the prep time, surgery

and post op time took about 2 hours. The prep and wait time lasted over an hour,

the surgery 10 to 15 minutes and post op instructions took the remainder of the

2 hours. The pre op nurse said that I might hear people talking while I was under

the mild anesthesia, but I don't remember anything while I was under the knife.

I was told not drink or eat anything from 12 o'clock last night, so as soon as I

was up and about, I drank the entire pot of coffee that the staff had prepared in

the office. I do like coffee.

**TODAY. I have an appointment at Wooster Eye Center at 11:20 AM as a

followup to my left eye surgery of yesterday. My left eye burned a lot yesterday

especially after administering 3 different drops to my left eye. The drops are

Ketorolac, Ciprofloxacin and Prednisolone which burns the most. I had used the

2 former eye-drops 3 days before surgery 4 times a day and now must administer

all 3, 4 times a day until my eye doctor directs me to stop. I was also told that

there may pain as a result of the surgery, but I not experienced any pain as of

this time (6:41 AM 9/29/2017 EDT) of the morning.

Besides publishing my daily blog, I need to mail 2 picture postcards and maybe

a collection of Tweets that is shared to Facebook.

The weather forecast calls for high and low temperatures of 69°and 43° with

scattered showers and with near 80° on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Another short Indian summer? If it doesn't rain today and showers are scattered

elsewhere, I'll need to definitely water all of the flower beds today.

**How long can I survive without shelter in a harsh environment with single

digit temperatures? 3 hours.

How long can I live without water? 3 days.

How long can I live without food? Normally 3 weeks at the most.

How long can I survive without sleep? "It has even been said that one could

survive for three times as long without food as one could without sleep."

The world record for continuously being awake is about 11 days.

I've been in minus windchill 45° temperatures and survived.

I've came close to total dehydration and survived.

I have not come even close to going without food, the main reason for my over

weight condition now.

I've not even come close to the world record of staying awake for 11 days, only

staying awake for 72 hours (3 days) at the most.

Why am I telling you this? I just thought you'd like to know.
