WHAT'S ON MY MIND TODAY

**I remember a time when most people were embarrassed to use or even

mention the words sex, vagina, penis, women's time of the month (her period),

kotex, prophylactics (rubbers), rape, incest and other words of that nature.

God forbid if one of us kids used these outlawed terms. A hand spanking from

Mother on our butts or a harder switching from my Father on our same butts

not with a 2x4, but a mite smaller.

I'm still embarrassed today by the words vagina and penis using twat and doodle-

do as a substitute. I told you before that I'm agreeable to change, but I'm too

old and still too much in a tizzy to say those disagreeable words.

Oh, I almost forgot, there are 3 other words that have disconcerted me. Anu#,

tur& and shut up which I've replaced with bung hole, pooper and be quiet.

Being a member of the Silent Generation is probably one of the reasons for my

continued shamefulness of even thinking about using these prohibitive and

disallowed words, at least to my way of thinking.
