WHAT'S ON MY MIND TODAY
**Do you believe in equal rights for women? I do. And I also believe in equal
rights for men and man has more than equal rights than women.
Excerpts from: https://www.thedailybeast.com/faith-doesnt-justify-
discrimination-against-women.
"Faith Doesn’t Justify Discrimination Against Women.
While much progress has been made in the world in terms of equal rights for
women, most major religions still place women in a lesser role, and people aren’t
doing much about it." Eric Segall.
Excerpt from: https://www.desiringgod.org/messages/male-and-female-he-
created-them-in-the-image-of-god.
"Genesis 3:16 pronounces a curse on fallen man and woman like this: To the
woman God says, “I will greatly multiply your pain in childbearing; in pain you
shall bring forth children, yet your desire shall be for your husband, and he shall
rule over you.” In other words the result of sin and the curse of our age is
conflict between the sexes. This verse is not a description of the way things
should be. This is a description of the cursed way things are going to be while sin
reigns. Dominating men and devious women. This is not the meaning of male and
female in God’s image. It is the ugliness of sin."
"And he shall rule over you and "dominating men and devious women," means to
me that God wants men to dominate women.
Quotes from civil right activist Susan B. Anthony:
"Men, their rights, and nothing more; women, their rights, and nothing less."
"I declare to you that woman must not depend upon the protection of man, but
must be taught to protect herself, and there I take my stand."

In the United States, Catholic wedding vows may also take the following form:
I, ____, take you, ____, to be my lawfully wedded (husband/wife), to have and
to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in
sickness and in health, until death do us part.
The priest will then say aloud "You have declared your consent before the
Church. May the Lord in his goodness strengthen your consent and fill you both
with his blessings. What God has joined, men must not divide. Amen." Wikipedia.
The marriage vows from above seem to me to be that the wedded wife is equal to
the wedded husband.
I believe my Father treated my Mother as equal stemming from her parents,
my grandparents Cline who treated each other as equal. I don't believe that my
absent grandfather Caricofe believed in women's equality, but he wasn't around
long enough to show his family much dominance. I believe that my Father
learned women's equality by observing my Mother and her family while he dated
Mother for 5 years.
