STORIES OF MY LIFE AND TOLD IN ONE DAY....
*4:17 PM 3/13/2017 EDST. I've just now returned from taking Bill to the Wooster
Community Hospital for a blood test to check his wayfarin level and to Dr. Kwok's
office for 2 shots. His health because of COPD is not good. Carolyn has to deal
with diabetes and is getting so much better that she may in time reverse this
affliction. Ryan is here now after I picked him up at his uncles' and drove him back
to the house to see Michael and Erin before they left to return to their home in
Omaha. Ryan occasionally has some trouble with his back and his seizures are
controlled as long as he takes his Tegretol on schedule. Me, I'm "healthy as a
horse."

MY OPINION
I like Pope Francis. During my long life I've been through the life of several
Popes. None have captured my attention as much as Pope Francis. He is not
afraid to join the world community and express his views on a variety of subjects.
And he, like me, likes to always be a good samaritan.

MY OPINION
I don't know what month this happened me being born in October of 1942, but I
do know that I'm ashamed of my heritage. I'm a full-blooded German and I'm
outraged at what my long ago relatives did to God's chosen people.

*7:39 AM 3/13/2017 EDST. Trump budget expected to seek historic contraction

"If President Trump’s budget proposal is enacted, the new Washington will be

priorities in military and homeland security. (Jonathan Newton/The Washington
Post).
President Trump’s budget proposal this week would shake the federal
government to its core if enacted, culling back numerous programs and
expediting a historic contraction of the federal workforce.
This would be the first time the government has executed cuts of this magnitude
— and all at once — since the drawdown following World War II, economists and
budget analysts said.
The spending budget Trump is set to release Thursday will offer the clearest
snapshot of his vision for the size and role of government. Aides say that the
president sees a new Washington emerging from the budget process, one that
prioritizes the military and homeland security while slashing many other areas,
including housing, foreign assistance, environmental programs, public
broadcasting and research. Simply put, government would be smaller and less
involved in regulating life in America, with private companies and states playing
a much bigger role...."
.... "According to an economic analysis by Mark Zandi, chief economist for
Moody’s Analytics, the reductions outlined so far by Trump’s advisers would
reduce employment in the region by 1.8 percent and personal income by 3.5
percent, and lower home prices by 1.9 percent...."
